Shenzhen, a city full of creative spirits and dreams. It was a pioneer and the window of the Reform and Opening Policy. And now, it’s a giant of innovation,radiating its infl uence out across China and the whole world.

深圳：中國創造

深圳，一座澎湃著創新精神的夢想之城。曾經以敢為天下先的精神成為中國改革開放的窗口，如今，又以各種創新型巨無霸與獨角獸，影響著中國，也改變著世界。

1When we come to Shenzhen city, it's right in the Global Innovation Conference now, a subforum of BRICS 2017, robots, new hardwares and artifi cial intelligence…Shenzhen is marked as centre of Chinese technology innovation. The biggest telecommunication manufacturer Haisi chip of Huawei, the largest mobile Internet and social media platform Tencent and the biggest new energy electrocar BYD Auto are all gathered here in Shenzhen. They represent three modern technology industries: the top-level of IT Hardware innovation, mobile internet and new energy smart cars. Among the innovators of Shenzhen, there are also some most advanced companies in China including gene engineering, touch screen mobile phones, medical apparatus, UAV for civil use and Han's Laser Equipment… Among A-Shares listed companies, there are a lot of private technology companies who are based in Shenzhen.

The innovation atmosphere, the powerful fi nancial support of GEM and the great industrial chains in IT industry together play an important role in the process of Chinese economy upgrade to a higher level.

2 Chinese people are all familiar with “the tale of Springtime”: the leader of the Reform and Opening policy Deng Xiaoping drew a “circle” in China, Shenzhen City, and then this city suddenly rose at a rapid speed like a miracle.When a placard saying “time is gold and effi ciency is life” was set up in Shekou industrial zone, the reformers in the city were all in a last-ditch, engaged into this largest scale modernisation construction in human history and wanted to leave an imprint on their country and the world.

Our hotel is located in an Overseas Chinese Town, and it's not far away from the “window of the world”, where stands the most symbolic architecture from all over the world, full of the enthusiasm and mania of young people.

The sleeping country at that time was faced with the situation of being washed out of the world. But Shenzhen was different. People longed to breathe the new air in Shenzhen. They took a look at this city with hesitation, came to this city with cautious steps and uptight nerves and wanted to peep at the amazing world outside the country a little bit.Nowadays, the economic construction followed by the Reform and Opening policy has been radiated out across China. Led by the Belt and Road policy, the allround new structure of economic construction has been formed. The cities in every area have been engaged into the construc-tion and have interacted well with the new policy. In this energetic economic pattern of the collaboration of inner and outside forces, China and the world have been merged with each other and cannot be apart. Among the global economies, Shenzhen, as a pioneer, is still changing the relationship of China and the world at Speed.

3 In the Shenzhen Museum, a guide is showing us the geographical model of Shenzhen City with pride: We need to learn the new fi gures by heart every week, and every month we need to alter the pictures of the model, for the speed of Shenzhen is too fast.

Overlooking the peek of Lotus Mountain, we can only see the difference between simplifi ed and traditional Chinese characters. The sky-scrapers and the prosperous cityscapes of Shenzhen and Hong Kong look quite similar. Hong Kong and Shenzhen have their own charms, attracting many young people to search for their dreams.But some refl ective Hong Kong people may think that speaking of some industries, Shenzhen has surpassed Hong Kong and become the centre,such as with mobile phone manufacturing.With the construction of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area“, there will be a lot of historical opportunities for the integration and development of Mainland, Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

4 However, Shenzhen is not complacent.Shenzhen people care about the housing market and the lack of cultural development.On the one hand, the government keeps issuing new policies to attract more talent, while on the other hand, a series of volunteer activities and cultural constructions such as mobile libraries are released to cultivate the culture and merits of Shenzhen people. When I asked a student who came to Beijing from Shenzhen how her impression of Shenzhen as a Shenzhener was? She replied that there were mobile libraries at every corner of the city. The era and the man are together in the transitions of the tide, continuing to write the grand tales of Shenzhen, sweet ordinary stories in China and the legends of quantitive nobodies who are pursuing their dreams.

1此次到訪鵬城，正是參加金磚會議分論壇活動——世界創新者大會，機器人、新硬件、人工智能……深圳被標記為“中國的科技創新中心”，這里有中國最大通訊制造商華為的海思芯片，中國最大互聯網企業騰訊的移動社交平臺，中國最大的新能源汽車企業比亞迪的電動車，這分別代表著現代科技產業三大領域——IT硬件創新、移動互聯網、新能源智能汽車的頂尖水平。這份創新名單上，還列著基因研究、中國手機觸摸屏、醫療器械、民用無人機、激光器械等方向的中國最領先公司……還有在A股上市公司中，最多的民營科技企業。

可以說，深圳的創業創新風氣，創業板的強力金融支持，IT制造業領域內的強大產業鏈生態，在中國經濟邁向中高端的升級地圖中，扮演著無可取代的角色。

2 國人熟悉改革開放那段特殊的“春天的故事”，改革開放總設計師鄧小平在南海邊畫了一個圈，深圳奇跡般崛起。當蛇口工業區豎起“時間就是金錢，效率就是生命”的標語牌，這片熱土上的改革者們以義無反顧的決絕，投入這場人類歷史上最大規模的現代化建設之中，為中國與世界留下鮮明的印記。

下榻酒店地處華僑城，窗外不遠即是世界之窗，林羅著世界各國精華景致，也容納著年輕的激情和狂歡。彼時的中國正在沉睡，但深圳是個異類，人們渴望到深圳呼吸開放的空氣，帶著打量的目光、邁著謹慎的腳步、保持緊繃的神經，偷窺下外面的繁華世界。如今，中國城市開放經濟建設遍地開花，“一帶一路”建設引領下，中國全方位對外開放新格局已然成型，各地各城市主動對接“一帶一路”，充滿活力、內外聯動的經濟格局中，中國與世界早已“你中有我，我中有你”。而在全球經濟的汪洋大海中，先行一步的深圳，仍在以“深圳速度”，改寫著中國與世界的關系。

3 在深圳市博物館，引導講解的工作人員介紹深圳的地圖模型，充滿驕傲地告訴來賓：我們每周都要更新我們背誦的新數據，每隔一個月就會動態調整模型圖，因為深圳建設的速度實在太快。

站在蓮花山上望去，除了簡體和繁體的招牌能看出些許差異，其余深圳河兩岸的深圳和香港，高樓林立、繁華如常，已無太大差異。香港與深圳以各自魅力，吸引著年輕人前來揮灑創新的熱情與汗水，不過富有反思精神的港人也會感慨，深圳已經在某些領域后發先至，比如手機制造。而如今的粵港澳大灣區建設，也為香港與深圳、內地的融合發展，提供了歷史性機遇。

4 當然，深圳并未沉睡自得。關于高房價，關于文化沙漠等說法的反思和行動也在持續。一方面官方持續推出吸引容納人才的系列新政，一方面推動開展廣泛的志愿者行動、建設流動圖書館等涵育深圳市民的文化品格。當我問一位深圳來京求學的同學，你作為深圳人對深圳印象最深的是什么？她的回答正是：遍布城市角落的流動圖書館。

大時代與小人物，時代大潮的深沉榮辱中，深圳續寫宏闊的時代敘事、暖心的中國故事和無數平凡小人物的追夢傳奇。
