Understand Shenzhen in Seconds

Geography: Located in the south of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen is adjacent to Hong Kong in the South, and Dongguan, Huizhou in the North.

Dapeng Peninsula 大鵬半島

Dapeng Peninsula is the eco-land in Shenzhen. It is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts in Shenzhen. Dongxi Yong is one of the most beautiful walking routes in China. Yang-Meikeng is the most romantic costal area, while Qiniang Mountain is a must-go place for every mountaineering enthusiast in Shenzhen.

Nanshan Hi-Tech Industrial Park 南山科技園

Nanshan Hi-Tech Industrial Park is a national-level university science park, in which many colleges, universities and new high-tech enterprises are located.Among these proprietary brands, 153 of them have annual sales of more than RMB100 million, 540 of them are certified national high-tech enterprises, and 81 of them in the Shenzhen Bay industrial park are potential marketing enterprises. Every year, they continue to produce good products with independent intellectual property rights, earning the industrial park a solid reputation both at home and abroad.

Qianhai 前海

Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industries in Qianhai Area is the “Manhattan of the Pearl River Delta” under planning. The district aims to develop high-end services and become a headquarters economy, while it gradually turns itself into a regional centre. Once finished, Qianhai would become a core functional district that facilitates the further cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Shenzhen has been awarded the status of a “Model City for Promoting the Reading Habit” by UNESCO.The city tops the list of per capita book purchase in all large and medium-sized cities in China. In 2016,Shenzhen citizens read an average of 10.47 e-books per person. There are hundreds of mobile or standard libraries in Shenzhen, which means Shenzhen provides a library for every 10,000 people in the city.

Bao'an International Airport 寶安國際機(jī)場(chǎng)

Shenzhen has the most ports in China, and is the only city that is facilitated with ports for the sea, land,airport and railway. Bao'an International Airport is one of the four largest airports in China. China Southern Airlines Shenzhen Branch is one of the company's biggest bases in China. So far, China Southern has opened many domestic and international routes departing from Shenzhen, and has included the Shenzhen Branch into its integration strategy together with its main hub in Guangzhou. For 23 consecutive years, Shenzhen has topped the list of foreign export volume among all cities in mainland China, and Bao'an International Airport plays an important part in helping Chinese enterprises enter into the global market.

深圳是中國口岸最多且唯一擁有海陸空鐵口岸的城市。寶安國際機(jī)場(chǎng)是中國四大口岸機(jī)場(chǎng)之一，南航深圳分公司屬于其基地公司。目前南航在深圳開通了多條國內(nèi)和國際航線，與廣州樞紐形成了一體化戰(zhàn)略。作為外貿(mào)出口23年位居中國內(nèi)地第一的城市，寶安國際機(jī)場(chǎng)在中國企業(yè)“走出去”方面的作用十分明顯。

Chung Ying Street 中英街

Chung Ying Street is located in Shatoujiao Subdistrict,Yantian District. In the city center sits a boundary monument, surrounded by many street stores selling various kinds of products from all over the world.Before the handing over of Hong Kong to China in 1997, the east side of the street used to belong to China, while the west side belonged to the UK. After 1997, the east side was allocated to Shenzhen, while the west side belongs to Hong Kong.

位于深圳市鹽田區(qū)沙頭角街道的中英街，街心以“界碑石”為界，街邊商店有來自五大洲的產(chǎn)品，品種十分齊全。1997年香港回歸前，街東側(cè)屬中方，街西側(cè)屬英方。1997年回歸后東側(cè)屬深圳，西側(cè)屬香港，是“一街兩制”的縮影。

Shekou 蛇口

Shekou was originally a commune in the former Bao'an County. It is the first export-oriented economic development zone in China that is wholly owned and funded by China Merchants Group.Shekou has been an experiment field for the special economic zones after the launch of reform and opening-up policy. Shekou is where the Shenzhen Stock Exchange came into being, which blazed a trail for China's stock integrate exchange. Shekou also gave birth to China Merchant Bank (CMBC; formerly known as the Internal Settlement Center of Shekou Industrial Park), Ping An Insurance Company and many other well-known financial enterprises.

蛇口原是寶安縣政府的一個(gè)公社，是招商局全資開發(fā)的中國第一個(gè)外向型經(jīng)濟(jì)開發(fā)區(qū)。改革開放以來，“蛇口”曾作為我國經(jīng)濟(jì)特區(qū)的“試管”。深交所在蛇口孕育誕生，開創(chuàng)了新中國證券集中交易的先河。這里還曾誕生了招商銀行、平安保險(xiǎn)等國內(nèi)外知名的金融企業(yè)。
