教材分析: 本模塊的話題是學生比較感興趣的話題生日。第一單元是邀請朋友參加自己的生日聚會,內容涉及中國孩子和外國孩子如何過生日,能讓學生了解國外的生日文化,比較中西方生日文化的不同,并借此培養和提高學生的跨文化交際意識。
學情分析: 這單元的教學對象是七年級的學生,他們學習英語的熱情和積極性較高,他們能在教師的指導下,主動參與活動,合作探究.本節課的內容是學生非常熟悉,且與他們的實際生活密切相關,他們比較感興趣。因此在教學中設計了大量活動,讓他們有更多的機會來說英語。
教學目標:
1.To learn some key words and expressions about birthday.
2.To understand the description of birthday and how to invite others.
3.To learn more differences between Chinese and western culture.
教學重點:“would you like to...?”發出邀請。
教學難點:頻度副詞的使用及在句中的位置。
教學過程:
Step1:Warming-up:Organize the students to see a video “Today is my birthday”.
Ask students to say something about the birthday and say more words about birthday.Write new words on the blackboard and learn them together.
Step2.Listening.
First,Listen to the tape,finish activity2-number the words. Then check the answers together.
Second,listen to it again,then answer the question“Whose birthday is coming?” and continue to read the dialogue.
Step3.Read the dialogue.
Task1.Read the dialogue in silence and then check the true sentences.Ask students to check the answers in group.If the sentence is false,correct it.
Task2.Watch the cartoon of the dialogue,try to understand the dialogue again.Then role-play the conversation in group and explain the difficult sentences each other.

2. 頻度副詞:always/usually /often/sometimes/never
Show students a table about “My birthday 2014-2018”.There are five parts in my birthday:cake,present,card,party and game. According to the numbers of “apple” to describe my birthday with the frequency adverbs.

3. Pair work: make a conversation in pairs.
Say what you always / usually / often /sometimes/never do on your birthday.
e.g.A: What do you always do on your birthday?
B: I always eat noodles on my birthday.
Task5:Exercise: Underline the correct words.
Task6: Group work:role-play the dialogue in group,act it out.
Step4.Be grateful
Show the word“mother”,explain the meaning of every letter.Be grateful to your mother.
