From January 3 to 7, the "Cosmovisiones" 2020 Uruguayan, Argentine and Chinese Cultural Exchange Week co-hosted by the Uruguayan Embassy in China, the Uruguayan Consulate General in Chongqing, the Argentine Embassy in China, the Chongqing International Cultural Exchange Center and the Luis Felipe Noé Foundation was held at the Dimensions Art Center in Huang Jueping, Chongqing.
This "Cosmovisiones" cultural exchange week is joined by two academic advisers: Fabian Lebenglik, Argentine art critic and writer, and Zeng Tu, associate professor of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and artistic director of the Dimensions Art Center. Many artists from Uruguay, Argentina, and China are invited to participate in the exhibition that aims to promote artistic and cultural exchanges between countries and the internationalization and blending of cultures in various countries and regions, and to build bridges of multi-cultural exchanges across specialties, regions, and countries.
Uruguayan artist Juan Perazzo believes that this is a special exchange event. "I came to Chongqing for the first time and was deeply impressed. It is a great honor to bring my works from Uruguay to China, a country I like very much. I will show my works made of waste materials, and I wish to deepen the artistic exchange between the two countries through this work. "
Fabian Lebenglik, an Argentine art critic and writer, believes that, like literature, visual art is a way to understand the world. In the world of art and literature, everything can be imagined. Visual arts are constantly redefining its boundaries to expand our perception.
Chinese artist Zeng Tu believes that translation can be of great help for communication, but without translation, people speak different languages can still understand each other through other media. And this exchange event is a good proof of that.
Through academic dialogue and exhibition of artists' works, the event provides an open platform for artists to display and exchange contemporary culture and art, and promotes the artistic exchange and cooperation between Latin American countries and southwest China.
On 31 January 2020, the one-month Polish illustration art exhibition "Masters of Polish Illustration-Flora, Fauna and the Pirates " ended in Chongqing Library, marking the successful conclusion of the 2nd Polish Culture Festival in Chongqing.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland 70 years ago, the two countries have deepened exchanges and cooperation in the fields including culture, tourism, science and technology. Chongqing Library and the Polish Consulate General in Chengdu have jointly held two Poland Culture Festivals in Chongqing. Through forums, exhibitions, lectures, painting competitions and other activities of the festival, people in Chongqing have gained a deep understanding of Polish architecture, cultural tourism and education, allowing Chongqing residents to appreciate Poland's unique artistic charm at close range and enhancing the interaction and integration of the two cultures.
