芬蘭國家博物館位于赫爾辛基市中心, 毗鄰國會大廈和芬蘭大廈。老館建于20世紀初，新館將創建一個新的入口，作為新的地標建筑和地下展覽空間。

新館位于歷史悠久的花園當中，這就是為什么可見的建筑是類似涼亭的結構，且大部分空間都位于花園地下。巨大雕塑般的混凝土屋頂在概念上是簡單，通用甚至原始的。 在這個屋頂下，餐廳和寬敞的階梯式“公共廣場”將參觀者這入到新的展廳中。 建筑是由光線、材料和塑造出的空間共同創造的。

JKMM正在進行該項目的建筑設計、室內設計和家具設計，同時還在協調景觀設計和創新性的結構解決方案。

The National Museum of Finland is located in the heart of Helsinki next to Parliament and Finlandia House. The old museum was built in early 20th Century. The New National Museum will create a new entrace as a new landmark building and exhibition spaces underground.

The new museum is located in historic garden, that is why the visible architecture is a pavilionlike structure with most spaces below the garden. The gigantic sculptural concrete roof is simple, universal and even primeval in its concept. Under the roof, restaurant and generous stepped “public square” lead visitors to new exhibition galleries. Architecture is created with light, materials and sculpting of space.

JKMM is designing architecture, interiors and furniture in the project. We are also coordinating landscape design and innovative structural solutions.
