注重教育成為西部官民的共識，在爭議中興建超大規模高中成為西部縣域一常見現象。如何避免因規模超大對在校生成長帶來負面影響，該項目成為設計團隊探討超大規模高中問題的示范。西飛一中是典型的超大規模中學，設計團隊引入“校中校”布局模式，將超大規模學校劃分為多個小型學校組團，共享體育運動場館、圖文信息中心等校園層級服務設施，專業教室及教師辦公用房等按組團層級布置，保證各項教學活動有序、便捷展開的基礎上，極大地提升體育運動場館、圖文信息中心等大型服務設施的使用效率。建筑形式緊扣閻良航空城地域特色，將輕盈、明快、飛翼概念與院落式布局相結合，形成了人文氣息與航空特色相融合的設計風格。

Focusing on education has become the consensus of the government and the people in the western region of China, and the construction of super-large high schools has become a common phenomenon in these cities located in the west. To avoid the negative impact of oversized school scale on the students' development, the project has become a model for exploring the design of superlarge high schools. Xifei No.1 High School project is a typical super-large-scale high school. The design team introduced a "school-within-a-school" layout model, divided the super-sized school into several smaller school groups, sharing campus levels service facilities such as sports venues and graphic information centre, and arranging professional classrooms and teachers' public rooms at the group level, to ensure the orderly and convenient development of various teaching activities, while greatly enhancing the efficiency of the use of these facilities. The architectural form is closely related to the regional characteristics of Yanliang Aviation City, combining the concepts of lightness, brightness and wings with courtyard layout, forming a design style that blends humanistic atmosphere with aviation characteristics.
