在歷史名城蘇州青劍湖畔，建筑師利用城市豐富的鄉土風情和歷史，創造了一種既現代又經典的庭院生活方式。蘇州以其風景如畫的運河、水道和古老的園林而聞名，建筑師決定將水作為新住宅項目的中心元素。

“大家”項目橫跨于一條平靜河流，并被水系分為南北兩個街區，每個街區包含多個鄰里。整個設計規劃具有高度的秩序性，在中國傳統四合院的原型上進行演變，并融入開放性。社區通過遞進式結構的庭院與城市相連接，個體住宅單元與社區服務相連接。從私密到公共，從物質層面到精神歸屬，重新定義了現代中國居住模式。

靈活的邊界可以重新煥發社區的活力。“大家”的中軸線，半私密/半公共空間通過庭院、廣場和連廊消除了固定邊界的存在。同時，各種功能設置，如接洽、辦公會議、休閑娛樂等，整合在一起，形成循序漸進的序列。

Next to Qingjian Lake in the historic city of Suzhou, Lacime Architects has drawn on the city's rich vernacular and history to create a modern take on classic courtyard living. Suzhou is known for its picturesque canals, waterways and ancient gardens, the architects decided to make water a central element of the new housing project.

Dajia Villa spans two blocks on either side of a peaceful river, and each block comprises multiple courtyards. The entire site is highly orderly, with multi-entry courtyard houses where a rhythmic progression from public to private spheres is created through the passage from the outer courtyard to the inner sanctum. From the private to the public, from the material level to the spiritual belonging, the project redefines the living mode of modern China.

The flexible boundaries could regenerate the vitality of the community. In the central axis of Dajia, semi-private and semi-public spaces eliminate the existence of fixed boundary through courtyards, squares and corridors. Simultaneously, a variety of functional settings such as reception, office meetings, leisure and entertainment, are integrated to create a progressive sequence.
