Taiwans Inaugural 2024 Travel Business Delegation Visiting Chongqing

Accelerating the recovery of inbound tourism in Chongqing is a key task for tourism development in 2024, as it plays a significant role in building the city into a world-renowned tourist destination and an international consumption city. From February 25 to March 1, Taiwans inaugural travel business delegation to the Chinese mainland for 2024 visited Chongqing, including nearly 50 travel agencies with 66 representatives from Taiwan, China. They made field visits to Dazu, Wulong, Youyang, Nanchuan, and the Chongqing city proper, and engaged in business discussions and networking with representatives from around 60 Chongqing tourism companies.
Chongqings Unique Tourism Resources Surprising the Delegation
During the visit, the delegation members were surprised by Chongqings stunning natural landscapes and rich folk cultures: They immersed themselves in the exquisite artistry and broad cultural legacies of the World Cultural Heritage, Dazu Rock Carvings. They climbed the Wulong Fairy Mountain, which was covered with snow and looked like a fairy tale world. They enjoyed the paradise-like scenery of Youyang Taohuayuan and the unique long table feast in Gongtan Ancient Town. They went to Jinfo Mountain in Nanchuan which boasted both beautiful natural scenery and profound culture.
“This field visit provided me with a chance to experience a different side of Chongqing!” “Im eagerly looking forward to recommending Chongqing to more friends and clients”... Taiwan travel businesses remarked that Chongqing was rich in unique tourism resources and they would explore new tourism routes and continue to promote Chongqings tourism resources after returning to Taiwan so that more Taiwan tourists can appreciate the charm of the citys beautiful scenery.
The Window for International Exchanges of Chongqing Culture & Tourism has made careful preparations for nearly three months to ensure the success of this trip.
Over 100 Chongqing and Taiwan Tourism Companies Engaging in One-to-One Business Discussions
The “Nihao! Chongqing” Taiwan Travel Business Roadshow and B2B Meeting took place on March 1 at the Window of International Exchanges of Chongqing Culture & Tourism. A total of 66 representatives from Taiwan travel businesses and nearly 60 representatives from local Chongqing tourism companies gathered together for “one-to-one” business discussions. This event built a platform for exchanges and transactions to take the initiative to serve the market entities of inbound tourism, supporting Chongqing in the development and expansion of the inbound tourism market.
The meeting covered many sessions such as the promotion of Chongqings cultural tourism resources, the release of incentive policies on inbound tourism marketing, explanations of relevant policies for Taiwan tourists entering Chongqing, and a B2B session between Chongqing and Taiwan tourism companies. It deepened Taiwan travel businesses understanding of Chongqings culture and tourism, strengthening the ties between Taiwan and Chongqing and boosting the confidence in tourism market cooperation.
Xiao Boren, Chairman of the Taiwan Travel Business Association, stated that Chongqing boasted rich and unique culture and tourism resources, which made tourists surprised and impressed. He considered this event as a bridge for tourism sector cooperation and development between Chongqing and Taiwan. According to the Chairman, the next steps would be focused on promoting Chongqings tourism offerings in Taiwan to attract more Taiwan tourists to the city.
Wang Yi, the representative of Chongqing Yangtze Gold Cruises Co. Ltd., said that the event with a prominent theme achieved great success, providing an excellent platform for companies to expand into the inbound tourism market. Thus, he hoped for more opportunities to participate in such high-quality exchange activities in the future.
The journalist was informed that a total of nine batches of travel businesses with 300 people from Taiwan, China and countries like Singapore, Viet Nam, and Thailand have made field visits to Chongqing since the Chongqing International Travel Business Conference held in November last year. This has laid a good foundation for the recovery in inbound tourism this year. The “Nihao! Chongqing” event for field visits of travel agencies has been highly recognized by the participants for its high quality.
In the next step, the Window for International Exchanges of Chongqing Culture & Tourism (WICT) will be positioned as a “municipal-level international platform for exchange and cooperation in cultural tourism.” It will be committed to facilitating the development of inbound tourism, improving the international development of cultural tourism in districts and counties, and continuously enhancing the international visibility, reputation and influence of Chongqing cultural tourism.

“這次考察讓我體驗到不一樣的重慶!”“迫不及待地想將重慶推薦給更多的朋友和客人”……臺灣旅行商紛紛表示,重慶旅游資源豐富獨特,回臺后將創新制定重慶旅游線路,持續推介重慶旅游資源,讓更多臺灣游客領略山水之城、美麗之地的魅力。
據悉,為促成2024首個臺灣旅行商考察團高質量落地成行,重慶國際之窗文旅有限公司進行了近3個月的悉心籌備。
渝臺百余家旅游企業“一對一”商務洽談
3月1日,“你好!重慶”臺灣旅行商路演洽談會在重慶國際文旅之窗舉行。來自臺灣的66位旅行商代表與重慶近60位本地旅游企業代表共聚一堂,開展了“一對一”商務洽談,搭建了靠前服務入境旅游市場主體的交流、交易對接平臺,助推重慶發展壯大入境游市場。
洽談會設置了重慶文化旅游資源推介、入境游營銷獎勵政策發布、臺灣旅客入境旅游的相關政策宣講、兩地旅游企業交流洽談等環節,進一步增進了臺灣旅行商對重慶的了解,加深了渝臺兩地友誼和旅游市場合作信心。
臺灣旅行商業同業公會總會理事長蕭博仁表示,重慶豐富獨特的文旅資源讓人充滿驚喜、印象深刻,本次活動為渝臺兩地旅游業合作與發展搭建了交流的橋梁,下一步將著力加強重慶旅游產品在臺灣市場的宣傳推廣,讓更多臺灣旅客了解重慶、來到重慶、愛上重慶。

記者了解到,自去年11月重慶國際旅行商大會舉辦以來,已相繼有新加坡、越南、泰國等國家,以及中國臺灣地區等多地旅行商共9批次、300人次赴渝踩線考察,為今年入境游復蘇回暖奠定了良好基礎。
“你好!重慶”旅行商考察行系列活動的高質量舉辦獲得參與各方的高度認可。下一步,重慶國際文旅之窗將立足“市級國際文旅交流合作平臺”定位,持續助力入境旅游發展,服務區縣文旅國際化,不斷提升重慶文旅國際知名度、美譽度和影響力。
