Revered as “the sage of poetry”， Du Fu，a realist poet of the TangDynasty （618—907），is widelyconsidered as oneofChina's greatest literatimasters.Seekingrefuge fromwar， he found rare tranquility in ，now the capital of Sichuan Provinceinsouthwest China. The following spring， withthe help offriends，he builta simple dwelling near the BlossomBathingBrook，naming itthe“Thatched Cottage\". Through centuries of restoration and expansion，it has transformedintoamemorialdedicated to the life and enduring legacy of Du Fu.
