Early life

Eiji Wentz was the second son born to a German-American father and a Japanese mother. Due to the family's American background， his father and his brother are fluent in English. However， he is monolingual only fluent in Japanese， and considers himself Japanese. Because both of his parents worked to support the family， Eiji lived with his grandmother as a child.

瑛士的父親是美德混血，母親是日本人，他還有一個哥哥。由于有美國家庭的背景，他父親和哥哥的英語都非常好。然而，只有他一個人會說日語，并認為自己是日本人。由于父母都在為家庭努力工作，瑛士小的時候只好和祖母住在一起。

He became involved in the entertainment industry at a very young age. Wentz initially started as a model at age 4， and made his acting debut as the role of Chip in the Four Seasons Musical Troupe Production of Beauty and the Beast. He played bass guitar and piano at age 10 and started learning the guitar from age 17.

瑛士很小的時候就開始對娛樂圈很感興趣。4歲的瑛士就是小模特了，第一次上鏡是在四季音樂劇制作的《美女與野獸》中飾演Chip一角。10歲的他開始接觸低音電吉他和鋼琴，17歲時開始正式學習吉他。

Comedy career

He doesn't like to use his looks to achieve success as a comedian， but if it's for the sake of comedy， Eiji will show off his backside. Because of his spirited attitude many consider him to be one of the best upcoming young comedians. Eiji says he absolutely loves Housei Yamazaki， a famous comedian， because of the times they starred together on Tensai Terebi-kun.

他不希望因為他的外表而使他成為一個成功的喜劇演員，但是，如果為了喜劇，瑛士可以展示他的另一面。由于他的這種精神，很多人都覺得他將會成為最年輕的喜劇演員之一。瑛士說他非常喜歡喜劇演員Housei Yamazaki，因為他們一起拍了電視劇Tensai Terebi-kun。

Acting career

Wentz has had many roles in dramas and movies， small and big. He wanted to be the popular Japanese hero Kamen Rider， but never made the show after auditioning twice. However， he did get a part in the 2005 movie Kamen Rider the first but he did not play the role of the rider.

瑛士在影視劇中大大小小出演了很多角色。他想成為著名的日本英雄“假面騎士”，但是兩次試鏡都沒有成功。然而，最終在2005年電影《假面騎士》第一部中出演了一個角色，只是沒有演成騎士一角。

Musical career

After Tensai Terebikun ended， Eiji started to continue playing music， and started a band WaT with Teppei Koike. They started in 2002 with street performances. In February of 2004 they released an indies CD. In August of 2005 they were signed to Universal Music and had their major debut in November 2005. While he had once remained awkward relationship with Teppei Koike， they are now very close. Eiji has spent at least the last four Christmas holidays with Teppei. When asked about the future of his career， and the fact that instead of music， Eiji wants his career in television to bloom， Eiji has gotten tears in his eyes and commented that he would never want Teppei to give up music so he wants to go on as well.

制作完音樂Tensai Terebikun之后，瑛士繼續音樂創作，并和小池徹平一起組建了WaT樂隊。2002年，他們開始在大街上唱歌。2004年2月發行了一張印度風格的CD。2005年8月他們和《環球音樂》簽約，然后在2005年12月的時候就一直準備他們的首張專輯。有段時間他和小池徹平的關系不是很好，但是，現在他們是非常親密的朋友。瑛士至少有4個圣誕節是和徹平一起過的。當問及他的未來的時候，瑛士說除了音樂，他想在電視劇方面再努力一下。瑛士含著眼淚說，他不想徹平放棄音樂，希望他可以繼續下去。
