Lish:There are different versions as to the origin of April Fool's Day. Some people think it first started in France.

Eng:I have ever heard this story. In the 16th century, people celebrated New Years Day from March 25 to April 1. Later, King Charles Ⅸ changed New Year's Day to January 1. But some people who lived in countryside did not know the news; they still celebrated New Year on April 1, so others laughed at them and called them April Fools.
