A guy I know was towing hisboat home from a fishing trip toLake Huron when his car brokedown. He didn't have his cell phonewith him, but he thought maybe hemight be able to raise someone onhis marine radio to call for roadsideassistance. He climbed into his boat, clicked on the radio and said,“Mayday, mayday.” A Coast Guardofficer came on and said, “Stateyour location.”“I-75, two miles southof Standish.” After a very longpause, the officer asked,“How fastwere you going when you reachedshore?”
