一、在幽默中體會交流樂趣
課堂適時的幽默,讓師生雙方都將課堂上的交流當作享受。
【案例1】《牛津小學英語》(譯林版,下同)5B Unit8 At the weekends的Free talk
這一課的主要句型是“How d0 you spend your weekends?”如果只是為了讓學生掌握語法結構,操練會變得機械而生硬,但如果出現以下的Free talk,則一定會有別樣的感覺:
T: How do you usually spend your weekends?
S:I usually play the piano.
T:Do you play the piano well?
S:Yes,I do.
T:Do you like playing the piano?
S:No,I don't.
T:What are you hobbies,then?
S:I like playing computer games.
T: Can you play computer games at the weekends?
S:No,I can't.
T:Why?
S:My mother doesn't let. (She means \"My mother doesn't permit me to do that\".)
T: (Ask the other students)Is she a happy girl?
Ss : No, she isn' t.
T:Why?
S:She plays the piano very well but she doesn't like playing it. She likes playing computer games,but she can't play it every day.
T:Oh,poor girl.I’m very sorry.(女孩笑了,全班同學都笑了)
女孩不能做自己喜歡的事,卻被父母逼著做不喜歡的事——日常生活中很普通的現實被老師幽默地調侃了一下,這會讓學生感受到用英語表達生活的極大樂趣。
二、幽默中巧妙糾正錯誤
用笑聲讓學生記住自己要教的內容,在笑聲中讓學生糾正自己的錯誤,筆者認為這是一個教師應該努力達到的最高境界。
【案例2】5AUnit6 A PE lesson
筆者在教學過程中發現,很多學生老是將head和hand的發音混淆起來,便設計了一個“黑色幽默”如下:
T:HoW many necks do you have?
A:I have one,
T:How many heads do you have?
A:I have tWO,(很顯然A.以為問題是“How many hands d0 you have?”)
(筆者在黑板上隨即畫一幅如圖所示的簡筆畫)
T:Look at this boy.He has one neck and two heads. Who is he?Yes,this is my student,A.
全班同學都會心地哄堂大笑,A同學也忍不住笑了起來,此后,所有的同學都格外留心這兩個單詞的發音,因為誰也不想“再長出一個腦袋”。
三、在幽默中促進深度思維
經過深度思維讓學生所感受到的幽默是一種強大的力量,那不是膚淺的取樂,而是一種發自內心深處的快樂。
【案例3】Read the passage and judge.(True or 1)
Xiaoxin is Mr Yin's student.He is a special boy.He doesn't like sitting quietly.He likes speaking loudly and \"DANCING in the class\".He likes English very much.He usually looks at the blackboard and listens to the teacher carefully.Mr Yin thinks he is a good student.
