With the development of the society， people pay more and more attention to education. As a result， thousands of students take part in various examinations.

However， some students have been found cheating in exams. Some of them copy from each other， some took out their textbooks or reference books to copy， some copied from small pieces of paper on which they had prepared for the exam， still some used the modern communication tools such as BP， mobile phone as a way to cheat in exams.

Then， what’s the effect of cheating in exams? First， it results in an unfair competition and will destroy the creativity of those bright students. Second， it will ruin the students’ self-confidence in the long run. Third， under that circumstance， the students graduating from school will not be the ones who can meet the need of the society.

However， how to stop cheating in exams? In my opinion， there are two steps we can take. First， severe punishment should be put into effect to prevent students from cheating. Second， great effort should be made to make students understand the terrible outcome of cheating.

Firstly， my large and clean house has a separate guest room， which can be used for a visiting student. Secondly， I have a good command of English and once won the first prize in the English speech contest in our school， so I am sure I won’t have any difficulty communicating with the visitor. To help the guest know more about Shenzhen， my father will drive us to some famous theme parks in Shenzhen， such as Splendid China and Chinese Folk Culture Village. What’s more， my mother can cook delicious Chinese food， which will make the guest feel at home. Lastly， being a host family is a good way of making new friends and promoting culture exchange.

This passage mainly talks about the ways of cheating in exams and its terrible consequences. As to how to stop cheating， some suggestions are made by the author.

I can’t agree more with the author. As a matter of fact， I once had a similar experience. One afternoon in a physics class last term， our teacher told us that he would give a test the next day.

When the test papers had been handed out， all my classmates began to work on them. Unprepared for the test， I secretly took out my notebook and began to copy. After a while， the physics teacher came up to me and stood by my side and said nothing. Feeling embarrassed， I knew I was found out， so I hurriedly took away my notebook. Then the teacher left， without scolding me at all.

Looking back on it， I still felt ashamed. That the teacher didn’t criticize me is because he wanted to save my face. Now I understand: cheating equals cheating myself. I never cheated in exams from then on.
