本單元的教學(xué)內(nèi)容是學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)用英語(yǔ)描述人物外貌、性格、心理特點(diǎn)的單詞和重要句型并掌握形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)這一語(yǔ)法項(xiàng)目。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
知識(shí)目標(biāo)
1.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)人物特點(diǎn)的單詞、人物比較的表達(dá)及語(yǔ)法知識(shí)點(diǎn)“形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)”。
能力目標(biāo)
2.培養(yǎng)學(xué)生運(yùn)用形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的口頭表達(dá)能力和寫作能力。
德育目標(biāo)
3.通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)本課,增強(qiáng)師生、生生間的相互了解和溝通,教育學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)比較,取長(zhǎng)補(bǔ)短,以求提高進(jìn)步。

Step 1:Leading-in
T:I show some photos of famous people. (學(xué)生睜大了眼睛,馬上有了興趣,因?yàn)檫@些都是他們喜歡的影星、明星。)
Then I write down some description words, such as short hair/long hair, curly hair/straight hair, heavy/thin, funny/serious, outgoing/quiet, smart/foolish, beautiful/ugly, intelligent/lazy, friendly/unfriendly,tall/short...etc, on the screen.
T: What they look like? Please tell me in English!
S1: I like Yang Mi very much. She is tall and thin. She has long hair.
S2: I think Yang Mi isn’t beautiful. I like Zhang Baizhi a lot. She is more beautiful than Yang Mi.
T: I think Han Hong is the best singer. And she is heavy and friendly.
S3: Han Hong is ugly.Yao Ming is tall.(學(xué)生還沒有完全接觸到比較級(jí),所以表達(dá)起來(lái)有些生硬,但是學(xué)習(xí)熱情高漲了,所以我順勢(shì)把比較級(jí)引了出來(lái)。)
T: Yao Ming is the tallest in these pictures. Han Hong is heavier than Yang Mi. Zhao Benshan is more outgoing than Liu Xiang. (我說(shuō)完了這幾句話,學(xué)生仿照我說(shuō)的話竟然脫口說(shuō)出了一些比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的句子,我欣喜萬(wàn)分。)
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:把名人照片里的人物特征用英語(yǔ)描述出來(lái),并很自然地引出形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的用法,這樣既可調(diào)動(dòng)課堂氣氛,又可提高求知的欲望,為下一步學(xué)習(xí)做好鋪墊。
Step 2:Presentation
1. Learn some new words about personal traits: calm/wild, athletic/weak...
2. I ask two and three students to come to the blackboard and other students talk about their personal traits.
S1: Zhao Ming is taller than Xing Cong.
S2: Zhao Ming is the tallest of the three.
S3: Zhang Nan is more athletic than Xing Cong.
3. Get students to introduce the rules of the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives.(Show them on the screen.)
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:讓2名或3名有較大對(duì)比性學(xué)生走到講臺(tái)前比較,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,在玩中學(xué),同時(shí)也把形容詞的比較級(jí)和最高級(jí)的規(guī)則總結(jié)出來(lái),有利于開啟思維,體現(xiàn)以學(xué)生為中心的教學(xué)特點(diǎn)。
Step 3:Listening
1. Listen to the tape and number the pictures in 1b.
2. Listen to the tape and complete the chat in 2a. Listen again and fill in chat in 2b.
3. Check the answers.
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:聽力訓(xùn)練既是對(duì)知識(shí)的鞏固,也為下一步的任務(wù)輸出提供了輸入材料。
Step 4 :Practice
Task 1: Work in groups. Have a free talk.
1. Divide the class into 5 groups and then work in groups. Fill in the chat.
Who is the tallest?
Who is the shortest?
Who is the heaviest?
Who is the thinnest?
Who is the most outgoing?
Who is the most athletic?
2. Each group choose one student to do a report. Show the results in class.
Task 2 : Get students to design their future and have a free talk.
T: Suppose you are a super star in the future. What will you look like and what will you be like?
S: I’m better than now, of course. /I’m more athletic /I’m more outgoing.
T: I think you can be better and better.
Ask some students to share with others.
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:此活動(dòng)的設(shè)計(jì)主題顧及到學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況,操作具有可行性,改變了以往向?qū)W生傳授語(yǔ)言的教育模式,真正體現(xiàn)了以學(xué)生為主體的教學(xué)模式。
Step 5 :Reading and Writing
1. Teach “l(fā)ook the same”“l(fā)ook different”“ be as good as”“be not as good as”“a little”,using some pictures and comparing some students in class.
2. Students read the article. Then read the statements (1~5) about the article. Write “T”or“F”.
3. Check the answers. (Ask students to give reasons.)
4. Ask students to write another letter.
T: Write a letter to reply Liu Li. Talk about the same and differences between you and one of your friends.
5. Choose two or three to share the answers with the whole class.
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:這一環(huán)節(jié)是基于聽說(shuō)訓(xùn)練之上,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的讀寫能力,在課堂內(nèi)強(qiáng)化目標(biāo)語(yǔ)言,充分調(diào)動(dòng)了學(xué)生的創(chuàng)造性思維和發(fā)散性思維能力。
Step 6:Summarize
1. Give students a chance to summarize what we have learned in this class.(students can talk about it freely.)
2. Give the students some complements and further explanations.
3. Get the students to do some exercises. The teacher goes around the class and gives some help to students.
4. Check the answers.
設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:讓學(xué)生來(lái)做課堂小結(jié)是最好的總結(jié)模式,突出主動(dòng)學(xué)習(xí)的重要性;教師再做總結(jié)陳述,進(jìn)一步鞏固了本課所學(xué)內(nèi)容。
Step 7:Homework
Write a survey report about the students’ appearance and personalities using the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives.

七、教學(xué)反思
本節(jié)課通過(guò)讓學(xué)生觀察發(fā)現(xiàn)和總結(jié)形容詞比較級(jí)的變化規(guī)則,并通過(guò)聽說(shuō)讀寫的訓(xùn)練,讓學(xué)生掌握和運(yùn)用形容詞的比較級(jí)形式以及用形容詞的比較級(jí)來(lái)比較人的個(gè)性特征。同時(shí),通過(guò)小組活動(dòng),啟發(fā)學(xué)生思維,培養(yǎng)合作意識(shí),并通過(guò)談?wù)撏瑢W(xué)的特征,引導(dǎo)他們養(yǎng)成良好的性格。不足之處是學(xué)生的詞匯量不大,特別是描繪名人漫畫像的時(shí)候,學(xué)生表達(dá)得不是很清晰,另外,本節(jié)課的時(shí)間安排太緊湊了,教學(xué)任務(wù)剛好完成,學(xué)生需要在課后的時(shí)間消化理解和鞏固練習(xí)。
