龍廈鐵路開通運營

6月29日，龍巖市鐵路退休職工75歲的葉素英夫婦（上圖）在首趟龍巖—廈門的動車上。當日，連接福建龍巖與廈門的龍廈鐵路正式通車運營，并開行首趟動車組列車。龍廈鐵路開通運營后，龍巖至廈門間鐵路運輸距離可縮短80公里，旅客列車運行時速將由65公里提高到200公里，時間將由5小時縮短至90分鐘。

龍廈鐵路既是加快閩西革命老區經濟社會發展的大通道，又是海峽西岸經濟區服務中西部地區經濟發展的重要組成部分。

recently， Longyan-Xiamen railway has been opened， shortening the distance from Longyan to Xiamen by 80 km. The speed of passenger trains will be raise to 200 km/h， the time will be shortened to 90 minutes.

Longyan-Xiamen railway is a large channel which could accelerate the economic and social development of the western Fujian. It is also an important part to serve the development of middle and western regions. The opening of Longyan-Xiamen railway improves the layout of the railway network in Fujian Province， forming a comprehensive transportation between Longyan and Xiamen. The railway also has important significance in enhancing the economic ties between the central and western China and the Yangtze River Delta， Pearl River Delta and the west side of the Straits economic zone.

火車治療失眠

聽說過嗎，火車也能治療失眠。近日有專家指出，晚飯后可以到戶外散一會兒步，上床前可以用熱水泡泡腳或是洗個熱水澡，這些看似微小的行動都能放松身心，誘導人體進入睡眠狀態。最為有效的是睡前聆聽一些平淡而有節律的聲音或是旋律平緩的音樂，如火車運行聲，這樣可以治療失眠。

世界上最大的火車場景模型

世界上最大的火車場景模型占地約1150平方米，涵蓋六個地區，包括美國，瑞士，斯堪的納維亞半島，德國和奧地利阿爾卑斯山等。它的建造者孿生兄弟弗雷德里克和赫里特布朗說：“無論是在拉斯維加斯或阿爾卑斯山劃還是挪威峽灣的真實場景，只要用心去打造，一切皆有可能”。

持郵票乘火車

清光緒十四年(公元1888年)，在我國臺灣省的臺北至士林間，有一條長度僅10多公里的鐵路正式竣工通車。當時，中法戰爭剛結束不久，百廢待興，火車票一時無法付印。為解燃眉之急，鐵路部門與郵政部門協商，決定用一種龍馬圖案的郵票代替火車票。
