病人：這樣我就放心了，但我已經好幾天沒上廁所了，估計還是不能很順利地解出。

護士：別擔心，讓我來幫你，我先來給你按摩按摩腹部好嗎？它可以刺激腸蠕動，促進排便。

病人：好的，謝謝你。

護士：你這些天不太敢吃蔬菜和水果是嗎？（一邊按摩一邊微笑著說）。

病人：是啊，你怎么知道的？以前我每天都是吃很多水果的，排便一直很正常。但是開完刀后就什么都不敢吃，每天就吃點米飯和魚湯啊什么的。

護士：難怪您的皮膚這么好！是啊，很多水果和蔬菜都含有大量的維生素和纖維素。維生素對身體包括皮膚都有好處，纖維素則可以幫助排便。比如：香蕉、芹菜、竹筍等。心臟手術跟胃腸道沒什么關系，不用擔心，現在吃根香蕉好不好？

病人：好…（開心的笑容），謝謝你。

護士：沒關系的（給病人剝好香蕉）。為了保持排便通暢，除了多吃纖維素含量多的水果、蔬菜，按摩腹部之外，你還可以每天定時去廁所，培養“情緒”。另外，你也要適當下床活動，這對你的康復也是有好處的。

病人：我知道了，聽你這么一解釋，我放心多了。謝謝你。

護士：不用謝。現在我需要去看別的病人，待會我再來看你，你如果有事就打鈴，我會立刻過來的。

（半小時后護士再次來到床邊）

病人：我剛剛去過衛生間了，你的方法真的很有效。

護士：趙阿姨，現在感覺怎么樣？

護士：您的胃腸道本來就很好，而且您也很愿意配合，所以才會取得這么好的效果。你瞧您到現在體溫一直正常，其它情況也都很穩定，像您這樣配合，一定很快就會康復的。

病人：太謝謝你了，小劉。

Patient：That＇s good.But I have not been to the toilet for some days now，I＇m afraid I can not do it successfully.

Nurse：Don＇t worry，I can help you.How about letting me massage your abdomen now？It can stimulate the intestine＇s movement and promote defecating.

Patient：All right.Thank you.

Nurse：You haven＇t eaten vegetables and fruits these days，haven＇t you？（Speaking with a smile while massaging the patient）

Patient：Yes，how do you know？I used to eat many fruits and have regular bowel movement.But since the operation I dare not eat anything but rice and fish soup.

Nurse：No wonder your skin is so nice.There are lots of vitamins and fiber in fruits and vegetables.Vitamin is beneficial to your body and skin，and fiber is beneficial for bowel movement.The heart operation has nothing to do with your gastrointestinal tract.So don＇t worry.How about having a banana now？

Patient：OK…（smiling）Thanks.

Nurse：It＇s my pleasure（peeling a banana）.In order to keep free bowel movements，besides eating more fruits and vegetables rich of fiber，and massaging your abdomen，you should try to go to the toilet at same time every day to make it a habit.In addition，you need to come down from the bed and move around little more.It＇s good for your recovery.

Patient：I see.I don＇t worry any more after your explanation.Thanks a lot.

Nurse：You are welcome.I need to see another patient now，but I will see you later.You can ring me any time if you need me，and I will be right over.

Nurse：Mrs.Zhao，how do your feel now？

Patient：I just went to the toilet and had bowel movement.Your method is very effective.
