To be a better reader

[Abstract]：In my long career of learning， reading is one of the things throughout the whole time. There is no doubt that I will keep on thinking about significance of reading. Especially， when it appears in my learning of language， I pay more attention to explore its impact for me.

Reading is the main way of language input， and it is the basis of writing. Reading English articles can not only improve the reading ability of students， but also can promote the improvement of the ability of reading. A lot of reading can make students accumulate more knowledge of English.

1.Reading is a process of accumulation of knowledge

As we know， vocabulary is the foundation of language learning. But the most difficult problem for many English learners is also vocabulary. So many students are always trying to recite the words inflexibly， and their vocabulary is still barren. It has been overlooked for long time， an obvious truth， the mastery of vocabulary does not mean English are improved. Vocabulary is the construction of building blocks， and reading is the construction of the building of the drawings. On factual aspect， we could accumulate vocabulary by reading， and our ability of reading shall be improved with the increase of vocabulary. In this process， we could learn the new words better by reading article， vocabulary is no longer an isolated word， but in the sentence to appear， we will be more in-depth understanding of the meaning and usage of words.

The cultural background knowledge of the reading material is fatal， the higher the accuracy of the reading comprehension， and vice versa. Therefore， it is very crucial to understand the cultural background knowledge. In fact， the more student’s background knowledge， reading comprehension questions to do better.

Reading is an important way English learning， the necessary means to cultivate ability of reading comprehension. To improve English reading comprehension ability， need to read more and more practice， at the same time， carefully sum up the suitable for the reading methods and skills， this is a very important stage of English learning.

2.Reading is the the necessary way to develop students' Reading Comprehension

Reading is a cognitive process of language， which could help students to consolidate and expand vocabulary， enrich the language knowledge， improve the ability to use language， but also to train thinking ability， understanding ability， generalization ability and judgment ability.

For example， the words， grammar， sentence and other basic content of these are beneficial to student’s writing. On the other hand， through a large amount of reading， students can also develop a good sense of language， so that students gradually learn to think in English thinking mode. Especially in the senior high school， it is very important to increase the reading quantity of students and to promote the students to read more English materials. Of course， our reading materials should not only stay in the range of textbooks， to recommend some newspapers， magazines and other newspapers， magazines and other newspapers， magazines， etc..

Reading strategy is also very important， I prefer \"the whole reading\" method which requires the reader to focus on the whole text， rather than individual words. In the reading process， the reader can read some key words in the beginning of the text， and the brain immediately began to predict the content of the text， and then continue to read the process， through the identification of some words and constantly confirm， amend， expand the prediction of the beginning， or the negative and produce a new forecast， and finally achieve a comprehensive understanding of the text content.

There is nothing to difficult， if you put your heart in it， just trying， practicing and reading， to be a better reader！
