Green Design—the Development direction of Industrial design

【Abstract】Ever since the reform and opening-up，all walks of life in China have started to develop rapidly，especially the industrial development.Though the rapidly developing industry has brought much convenience to our life，blind emphasis on the industrial development has also led to much negative effects.Therefore，green design is becoming an inevitable development trend of industrial design which is related to the future survival and development of human beings and is the development direct of all enterprises in the future.Industrial designers shall comply with the trend of future green design，learn the concept of green design while paying attention to the corporate profitability and apply it into industrial design to guarantee the survival and development of human beings[2].

Industrial design is closely related to the industrial development.Therefore，it has been a long existed subject which has a long history.However，industrial design gets an infusion of flesh blood with the continuous development of technology these years，which makes it young again.Industrial design，because of its independence and integrity，is a subject different from others.It is a subject with enormous vitality which has made huge contribution to the development of human beings and promoted the progress of human civilization.

ⅠInevitability of putting forward the concept of green design

Industrial design，from the beginning of the development till now，has gone through many stages and is making continuous improvement during the progress.No matter how perfect these concepts are，designers have not put the factor of environment into consideration.Failure to blend in the concept of green design has led to the ineffective use of resources.Environmental deterioration has had bad influence in life of human beings[3].

1.Much rubbish from production and living

It is known that product，no matter what it is，has a certain service life and will finally come to the day of useless.In the concept of traditional design，abandoned rubbish can no longer be utilized cyclically without the consideration of the factor of green，which has resulted in the increasingly abandoned rubbish and increasingly severe waste of resources.Also in default of the concept of green design，some materials those are harmful to health are used leading to the pollution of our living environment from the waste.There are more and more people in the world，and so is the rubbish.Moreover，the fact that the rubbish has not been disposed properly has led to a secondary pollution.To solve these problems，we have to put the concept of green design into the application of industrial design[4].

2.More consumption of non-renewable resources on earth

Because it has not taken the concepts of saving and recycling of materials into account，traditional industrial design has led to the sharp decline of non-renewable resources.Along with the development of times，peoples excessive pursuit of product individuation has improved the difficulty and cost of manufacture，reduced the utilization ratio of materials and wasted many resources.Besides，the replacement cycle of products is becoming shorter gradually because of commercial factors，and this has undoubtedly worsened the exhaustion of non-renewable resources.

The exhaustion of renewable resources is an irreversible situation，and the only thing we can do to adapt is to save resources and choose the path of sustainable development.Industrial designers shall constantly improve the subject of green design，follow the principle of sustainable development in product designing and organically integrate industrial development with environment.Industrial designers must take the environmental carrying capacity into consideration.Only in this way can it has no influence on environment and meets the requirement of economic development as well.Therefore，green design is the only way of sustainable development of human beings.

Ⅱ Rules to follow in green design

Speaking of green design，we will definitely come up with words like environment and zoology because green is the representative word of environment protection and health.In industrial production，green design puts the consideration of whether the product is recyclable and whether the value of recycle is high or not in the first place，and then ensures the service life，quality and so on.It is the core content of green design that it breaks the old design methods and reforms and innovates with modern ones.

1.Green design studies the relationship between design objects from a general view，and only in this way can it make the goal clearer and the implementation procedure easier.In fact，green design is to pursue the balance and optimization，and partial emphasis on one side merely affects the optimum efficiency of it.Therefore，one must concretely analyze every aspect in the processing and manufacturing of product.Only under the condition of overall coordination and order can the product design realize the goal of “Greenization”.

2.From the aspect of service life，it should be the most essential requirements in the designing and manufacturing of product.Guarantee of product safe，extension of its service life to the most extend and reduce of resource consumption together indicate the concept of green design.[6]

What is called green design is to take economization and environmental protection into consideration in the designing of industrial production.In order to correctly understanding and applying this concept，designers must have good environmental awareness and put green design in an equally important place in industrial design.

Conclusion

In the history of development of industrial design，the birth of the brand new concept of green design is inevitable.It is an effective way of ensuring the realization of sustainable development of human，and is the final product of peoples green consumption idea in new era.The development of future enterprises certainly cannot be separated from the new concept of green design.To ensure a better application of the concept and avoid detour in production design，many designers shall spend much time on the study of the concept to make it more specific and mature，and to make the green way of industrial design in our country further and steadier[5].
