興趣是學習之根本,如果學生對某種新事物感興趣,那么他們自己就會積極主動去學習,不需要督促更不需要逼迫。一個中學生如果對英語學習感興趣,他就不會把英語看成沉重的負擔,相反,他會以積極主動的姿態出現,并在學習中鍛煉思維、收獲愉悅。
一、多樣導入提升中學生英語學習興趣
1. 故事導入。九年級上冊第三模塊“The hero in my heart”介紹了一些英雄偶像,其中有鄧亞萍,教師可通過講述鄧亞萍的成長經歷來導入新課,既可激起學生興趣,還可以借鄧亞萍的曲折經歷達到教育學生的目的。
2. 影像導入。如教學九年級上冊第四模塊“Home alone”,教師可以播放當今流行電影“Home alone”(小鬼當家),可以激發學生興趣,達到良好的教學效果。
3. 歌曲導入??梢圆シ乓皇赘滩挠嘘P的歌曲,并讓學生學會唱。學生喜歡熱鬧,即使昏昏欲睡的學生也會立刻哼起來。
二、多彩教學提升中學生英語學習興趣
1. 游戲法。學新單詞的時候,可以引用“Siman says”,當老師念Siman says manage,學生應立刻跟讀manage;當老師念manage,學生應該保持安靜,否則就輸了。
2. 比賽法。每組以6人為一個團隊,分別對剛剛學過的單詞進行拼讀、記中文意思,看哪個小組背得最多,記得最牢。做題的時候也可以把學生進行分組,請每個小組的一個代表講題,看哪個小組講得對。
3. 口訣法。這個方法特別適用于語法規則的學習。如對基數詞變序數次的規則,可以編成口訣:“一,二,三特殊記,八去t,九去e,f替ve,然后再加-th,以ty結尾的數十的整數,變序數詞時,把y改ie,再加-th,若是碰到第20以上的‘第幾十幾,只變個位就可以,除此外,其余的直接加-th.”
三、多種媒體提升中學生英語學習興趣
講授新目標英語八年級(下)Unit 4 “He said I was hard-working” Reading “She said helping others changed her life”, 我首先利用多媒體展示了自己理想的職業,大量的圖片信息立刻引起了學生們的興趣。
談論完各人的理想職業后,我用多媒體出示了幾幅貧困山區的圖片,還有汶川地震后的學生的生活情況的視頻。學生們都被感染了,我因勢利導,提出問題。
T:What do you think of these pictures, and what should we do for them?
S1: I think they are so poor.
S2: They should study hard to
change their life.
S3 : We should help them.
S4: We should give money to
them.
T: Yes, they are so poor. We should study hard to help them. Yang Lei is a graduate from Peking University. She joined a program that was started by The Ministry of Education &Chinese Young Pioneers. If you join the program, you could go to the rural areas to help kids study.
四、多一點活動提升中學生英語學習興趣
我們可以開展英語演講比賽、英語作文征文大賽,還可開展英語書法大賽、英語歌曲聯唱、英語文化節、英語日等。例如,每周三下午組織學生參加英語角,以Work in pairs or Ask and answer等形式談談如何學好英語。
M:Mike is my good friend. He began to learn English at the age of five, but his English is not good.
W: How old is he now?
M: Twelve years old. Last week he sent emails to three of his American pen friends. They are John, Robert and Tom.
W: What did Mike say in his email to John?
M: He asked John a question about listening and John advised him to listen to the radio.
W: Did Mike also ask Robert a question in his email?
M: Yes, he asked Robert a question about speaking and Robert advised him to watch English films.
W: Mike asked Tom a question in his email too, didn t he?
M: Yes, that s right. He asked Tom a question about writing and Tom advised him to read English newspapers.
