摘 要:《初中英語課程標準說明》提出閱讀的要求是能根據上下文和構詞法推斷,理解生詞的含義;能理解段落中各句子之間的邏輯關系;能找出文章中的主題,理解故事中的情節,預測故事情節的發展和可能的結局。本文筆者就江蘇省牛津英語8A unit6 Reading 《Birds in Zhalong》課堂教學實錄及校內外“同課異構”的教學思考進行仔細整理,與大家共同探討。

教學實錄
Step1 Free talk
用多媒體展示一些“鳥”的圖片,運用Free talk形式讓學生說出鳥的名稱以及鳥的不同部位。
T: Which bird do you like best?
S: I like --- best.
T: Why?
S: Because ---
T: Great! It’s right. Can you describe it?
S: No problem. It is ---
T: That’s right.
接著用同樣的方法展示麻雀、天鵝、鷹的圖片,最后展示鶴的圖片。這一環節,皆在復習所學的內容以及訓練學生的口語表達能力,為接下來的Reading 教學做鋪墊。
Step2 Presentation(展示中國地圖,用圓圈標出黑龍江所處的位置)
T:Where is Zhalong Nature Reserve?
S:? It’s in Heilongjing Province.
T:? Zhalong is a special place---
目的是幫助學生對Zhalong自然保護區有一個初步的了解。
Step3 Fast reading
1.To find the answers to the following questions:
(1) Why is Zhalong a special place?
(2) What animals live in the special place? Why?
2.Guess the meanings of some new words.
主要是讓學生養成快速閱讀的習慣,能抓住文章的基本意思,同時在閱讀中理解生詞,這對詞匯的學習也是特別有幫助的。
Step4 Further reading
T: Read the text again and tell the following sentences“True”or“False”.
(1) Zhalong is an important wetland nature in the world. ____
(2) Birds can find food and cover in Zhalong. ____
這個步驟的設計旨在讓學生進一步熟悉課文,同時要求他們讀的更細致,能抓住比較詳細的信息辨別對錯。
Step5 Detail reading
T: Read the text for the third time and fill in the blanks according to the text.
We are______cranes. We like living in_______.We live in Zhalong_________.? Zhalong _____us enough food and ______. Every year many _____come to see us. But some people want to change our home to make more _____ for _____ and _____. This means there will be _____ and ______ space for wildlife and the number of us is getting ______and______, We are _____birds. But many people don’t understand the importance of protecting us. What shall we do? Please help us!
這一輪的閱讀要求學生要細讀課文,抓住更加詳細的信息,并能回答更細致的問題。
Step6 Try to answer to give as much information of each part as possible.
T: Listen to the tape and read the text for the fourth time, then get the students to complete the following table
這一環節的設計進一步讓學生加深了對課文的理解,同時也鍛煉了學生的口語表達能力和膽量。
Step7 Discussion(展示鹽城自然保護區的畫面)
T:This is Yancheng Nature Reserve, it is a very beautiful reserve, many cranes are living there. As a Grade 8 student, what should you do and what shouldn’t you do in the reserve?
S1: We should walk slowly.
S2: We should walk quietly.
S3: We speak in a low voice.
……
這一環節的設計,旨在進一步訓練學生的口語表達能力,更讓他們意識到保護鳥類的重要性,這也正是本單元的宗旨所在。
教學思考
上述實錄課就是以競賽的形式貫穿始終,把繁瑣的、枯燥的閱讀課教學變得生動起來,增強了學生的團隊協作意識和集體榮譽感,讓學生們在緊張而又愉快的氛圍中度過了45分鐘,也使學生的閱讀能力在潛移默化中得到了提高。
“問渠那得清如許,為有源頭活水來”。在英語教學過程中,閱讀課是學生理解和吸收語言知識的重要手段,能給學生提供更豐富的教育教學資源,有助于學生開闊視野、豐富語言知識、擴大詞匯量和了解英語國家的社會信息及文化底蘊等。
