本堂課的教學內容是人教版新目標《英語》九年級Unit 6 When was it invented?Section B 2a—2e Do you know when basketball was invented?。本單元的話題是inventions。本篇課文的內容圍繞“籃球運動”這一主題展開,介紹了籃球運動的歷史、籃球比賽的規則、打籃球所需要的設備及籃球的流行趨勢。通過學習本篇課文,學生能掌握文章的主要內容及文中所包含的短語和語法知識。在教學中,教師滲透“熱愛體育、珍愛生命、為國爭光”的德育理念,培養學生的集體榮譽感與愛國主義情操。通過本堂課的閱讀教學,使學生初步掌握運用思維導圖輔助學習的策略,能把自己所讀到的信息進行梳理,并以思維導圖的形式呈現;學會抓關鍵詞、找中心句、劃分段落層次,從而完成各項閱讀任務,并學會發表看法,全面提升綜合語言運用能力。

1.“Teach English in English”:即《義務教育英語課程標準(2011年版)》所倡導的“用英語教英語”的教學方法。在課堂上盡量使用英語教學,為學生創造良好的語言學習環境,使其充分感知、積極體驗、大膽實踐,把握用英語進行交際的機會。
2.任務型教學法:讓學生帶著任務有目的地去學習,并在課堂學習中不斷獲得完成任務所必需的知識、能力等,為最終任務的完成作好全面的準備。
3.多媒體輔助教學:利用多媒體輔助教學,確保課堂教學設計形象、生動,課堂容量增加,給學生提供更多的語言實踐機會,促進其綜合語言運用能力的提高。

【設計說明】當今很多學生都對球類運動非常感興趣,男生對籃球更是情有獨鐘。美國NBA十大精彩進球短片極大地激發了學生的學習興趣,使他們以飽滿的熱情投入本堂課的學習。

Free talk:Show some questions about the information of basketball,talk about basketball freely with Ss at the same time.

Step 5:While reading
2c:After learning the reading strategy,ask the students to practice in 2c.Lead them to complete the mind map with the information in the passage.Then check the answers together.

2d:Ask the students to use the mind map to summarize what they remember about the development of basketball.Have the students find out the answers to the following questions.And write down the answers on a piece of paper.Then ask several students to share the answers.

【設計說明】閱讀是本堂課的重要活動。為達成本堂課的閱讀教學目標,通過任務設計,組織學生進行多輪閱讀。前三個任務是為了理解閱讀文本,任務設計從易到難,由淺入深,層層遞進。在閱讀過程中滲透學法指導,提醒學生根據不同的閱讀任務使用不同的閱讀策略,這既有利于他們順利完成閱讀任務,又有利于他們養成良好的閱讀習慣。

【設計說明】讓學生在自學中歸納、總結文本中重要的短語和語法知識,同時感知被動語態一般過去時在語篇中的應用,為下一堂課的精讀作準備。
本堂課的教學目標明確,基本完成了教學目標,充分體現了學生的主體地位。設計通過一系列教學活動,激發了學生的學習興趣,鍛煉了學生的閱讀能力、口語表達能力及合作探究能力。通過對本堂課的學習,學生學會了根據課文標題和圖片預測文本內容,通過略讀找出各段落的大意,利用思維導圖記憶信息、復述課文。
本堂課剛開始,教師通過播放籃球比賽視頻,快速吸引了學生的注意力,調動了他們的學習積極性。根據所給信息找出問題的答案、完成選擇題、通過略讀找出每段的段落大意、補全表格信息、利用思維導圖復述課文等教學活動使學生的閱讀能力得到了有效鍛煉。競速閱讀這一教學活動極大地點燃了學生的學習熱情。學生挑戰成功之后,充滿了喜悅之情,學習熱情大增。教師從旁進行朗讀指導,幫助他們提高了英語口語表達能力。
本堂課重視德育。通過引導學生理解文章內容,激發其關心和熱愛體育運動的情操,使其加強體育鍛煉,樹立為國爭光的崇高理想。通過對籃球運動員成長經歷的介紹,教育學生要有自己的夢想,并為實現夢想堅持奮斗。通過小組成員共寫一篇短文的教學活動,教育學生要互相幫助,樹立團隊意識。在小組展示時,教師鼓勵學生創造性地運用語言進行表達,當他們有所發揮或創新時,適時地給予肯定和鼓勵,最大限度地調動了學生學習英語的積極性。
得閱讀者得天下。在初中英語閱讀教學中,教師要充分挖掘閱讀文本,采取靈活、多樣的教學手段,培養學生的閱讀能力。

王玲老師的這堂課是一堂名師示范課。這堂閱讀課設計合理,運用了多種閱讀策略,問題設置由易到難,層層遞進,逐步引導學生完成各項閱讀任務。在本堂課的后半部分,通過競速閱讀讓學生對閱讀產生興趣,大膽挑戰自己,對提高學生學習英語的信心有很大的幫助。在Group Work環節,學生展示了小組合作生成的小短文,并在課堂上進行了批改,提高了自主學習能力,體現了“以學生為中心”的教育理念,既是教師將課堂還給學生的體現,又達到了學以致用的教學目的。
總之,本堂課教學內容充實,學生的各項能力得到了有效鍛煉,并在課堂中滲透了愛國主義情感教育,是一堂非常成功的示范課。
