大理市是以白族為主體的少數(shù)民族聚居區(qū)，白族占當(dāng)?shù)厝丝诘?5%以上。作為第一個(gè)進(jìn)駐大理的國(guó)際五星級(jí)度假酒店，酒店選址在大理蒼山地質(zhì)公園附近，布局在半山腰上，地處南詔古國(guó)最具鮮明特色的白族建筑群中。為增加酒店的私密性和專屬感，進(jìn)出酒店的道路蜿蜒在主體建筑物和西側(cè)的蒼山之間。景觀主軸線從西至東，將建筑、廣場(chǎng)、蔭道、綠化、景觀小品緊緊串連，以步行道的形式緩緩向外延伸至洱海，使每一個(gè)單體都有自己獨(dú)屬的領(lǐng)域，隱匿于山林之中。

朝向洱海伸出的兩側(cè)為酒店的客房樓，中庭正靠蒼山的為酒店的功能區(qū)。設(shè)計(jì)師借鑒了白族民居“一正兩耳”、“兩房一耳”、“四合五天井”、“走馬轉(zhuǎn)角樓”等空間布局的形式。坡頂斜墻，兩棟樓房互相垂直的同時(shí)，又在垂直交叉處布置較小的耳房作為連接。輔以上層的走廊，全部連通的建筑從蒼山而下，緩緩鋪開(kāi)，其通透感和連貫性得到了加強(qiáng)。

位于中庭的大堂，采光通透，寬敞明亮。為營(yíng)造出白族人家熱情好客的氛圍，休息區(qū)采用特有的裝飾性壁爐來(lái)迎接游客。經(jīng)過(guò)特殊處理的瓦檐裙板、門(mén)楣花飾和祥云裝飾貫穿大堂頂部，每一處精雕細(xì)琢的小細(xì)節(jié)都是濃濃的民族風(fēng)情。酒店也借此項(xiàng)目和周邊業(yè)態(tài)共同帶動(dòng)當(dāng)?shù)厣鐣?huì)發(fā)展。

Dali is home to minorities especially Bai, which account for more than 65% of the local population. As the first international five-star resort branding into Dali, the hotel is located on the mountainside near Cangshan Mountain Geopark and amidst the most distinctive Bai architectural complexes in ancient Nanzhao Kingdom. In order to enhance its privacy and exclusiveness, the road to the resort winds along the main building and the west of Cangshan Mountain. The central line of the landscape runs from west to east, closely connecting buildings, squares, shades, virescence, and featured landscape,extending outward Erhai Lake along a walkway, so that each monomer has its own unique field, which hides in forests.

The two sides of the resort facing the Erhai Lake are rooms. The hotel's atrium near the Cangshan Mountain is a functional area. The designers drew on the spatial layout of the Bai people's houses.Because of the sloped walls, the two buildings are perpendicular to each other, with a small room arranged at the vertical intersection as a connection. Couple with corridors in upper floors, all the connected buildings are constructed along the mountain, improving their transparency and continuity.

The lobby in the atrium is bright and spacious. In order to create Bai people's cosy and hospitable atmosphere, the lounge uses a unique decorative fireplace to welcome visitors. The top of the lobby is abounding with specially processed panels of tile eaves, door head ornamentation and auspicious cloud decorations, and every exquisite detail embodies strong ethnic feel. The resort also takes advantage of this project and surrounding business to promote local social development.

酒店立面選用大理盛產(chǎn)的當(dāng)?shù)厥模b飾設(shè)計(jì)構(gòu)思取材于白族傳統(tǒng)圖案。木質(zhì)結(jié)構(gòu)的屋頂結(jié)合金屬板，在保證功能的同時(shí)實(shí)現(xiàn)古樸親切的度假訴求。整體風(fēng)格與自然風(fēng)景協(xié)調(diào)一致，充滿詩(shī)意。外墻面多為上白（石灰），下灰（細(xì)泥）粉刷，內(nèi)墻面多用凸花青磚組合成豐富多彩的立體圖案，或鑲嵌自然山水圖案的大理石，表現(xiàn)出一種清新雅致的情趣。

The facade of the hotel is made of local stone, which is abundant in Dali. The concept of the decoration design is based on the traditional patterns of the Bai nationality. The wooden roof combined with the metal plates satisfies visitors' needs of enjoying antique beauty and feeling amiable while ensuring the function. The overall style is in harmony with natural scenery, full of poetry. The outer wall is mainly painted white in the upper portion and gray in the lower, while the inner wall is mostly composed of convex blue bricks or marble inlaid with landscape patterns, forming a colorful three-dimensional pattern as well as fresh and elegant style.
