It was a regular Friday in August when Wang An considered taking a stroll around her workplace in downtown Beijing. She chose a nearby recycling shop.

那是8月份的一個(gè)普通周五，在北京市中心上班的王安想在辦公地點(diǎn)周圍逛逛，于是她選了附近的一家循環(huán)商店。

After spending half an hour in the second-hand books and clothes shop， Wang bought a hardcover original version of Harry Potter Film Wizardry.

在這家售賣二手書和二手服裝的商店逛了半個(gè)小時(shí)后，王安買了一本精裝原版《哈利·波特電影魔法書》。

“It was the first time I visited here. Im quite interested in Harry Potter recently and this book is not found in other places， so I bought one when I happened to see it，” she said.

她說：“我第一次來這家店，最近對(duì)《哈利·波特》很感興趣，這本書在其他地方買不到，所以我碰巧看到就買了一本。”

Renovated from an old factory in the Sanlitun area， the store was opened by an online used books trading platform called deja vu early this year. The 1，000-square-meter place displays more than 10，000 second-hand books and about 1，300 pieces of used clothes the company recycled.

2022年初，一個(gè)名為“多抓魚”的二手書網(wǎng)上交易平臺(tái)開了這家循環(huán)商店，店面由三里屯的一間舊廠房改建而成，占地面積1000平方米，陳列著該公司回收的1萬多本二手書和大約1300件二手服裝。

Wang is not only a “buyer” but also a “seller” at deja vu and other online platforms of second-hand goods. Through Idle Fish， an online flea market， she has earned about 20，000 yuan （$2，897） from reselling a treadmill， a baby crib and other stuff.

在多抓魚和其他二手商品網(wǎng)上交易平臺(tái)上，王安不僅是一名“買家”，還是一名“賣家”。通過在線跳蚤市場(chǎng)“閑魚”，她轉(zhuǎn)賣了一臺(tái)跑步機(jī)、一張嬰兒床和其他物品，賺了大約2萬元人民幣（約合2897美元）。

“For me， trading second-hand products is a good option to deal with stuff that I no longer need，” she said.

王安說，“在我看來，交易二手商品是處理我用不著的物品的好辦法。”

Chinas second-hand market has been thriving in recent years with the sales of used goods exceeding 1 trillion yuan in 2020. A report released last year by consulting company Frost & Sullivan and the Institute of Energy， Envir-onment and Economy at Tsinghua University expected sales to reach nearly 3 trillion yuan in 2025.

近年來，中國的二手市場(chǎng)蓬勃發(fā)展，2020年二手商品銷售額超過了1萬億元人民幣。咨詢公司弗若斯特沙利文和清華大學(xué)能源環(huán)境經(jīng)濟(jì)研究所在2021年發(fā)布的一份報(bào)告預(yù)計(jì)，2025年閑置物品銷售規(guī)模將達(dá)到近3萬億元。

Adam Minter， author of Junkyard Planet： Travels in the Billion-Dollar Trash Trade and Secondhand： Travels in the New Global Garage Sale， said one reason behind Chinas booming second-hand business is because many Chinese households had acquired far more stuff than they needed after 30 years of hyper-charged consumption.

《廢物星球：從中國到世界的天價(jià)垃圾之旅》和《二手世界：全球舊貨市場(chǎng)調(diào)查手記》的作者亞當(dāng)·明特說，中國二手生意蓬勃發(fā)展的一個(gè)原因是，經(jīng)過30年高度活躍的消費(fèi)，許多中國家庭購買的東西遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過了自身的需求。

Chinas younger consumers havent inherited their parents disdain for second-hand goods， he added in an opinion article published on the website of Bloomberg.

亞當(dāng)·明特在彭博社網(wǎng)站發(fā)表的一篇評(píng)論文章中補(bǔ)充說，中國的年輕消費(fèi)者沒有繼承父輩對(duì)二手商品的鄙視。

QuestMobile， a research firm， said Chinas mobile internet users aged between 25 to 35 are the main group behind the surge in online second-hand transactions， particularly those in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

研究公司北京貴士信息科技有限公司稱，中國25歲至35歲的移動(dòng)互聯(lián)網(wǎng)用戶是推動(dòng)網(wǎng)上二手商品交易激增的主力，尤其是北京和上海等一線城市的用戶。

This is echoed by Huang Bilian， the store manager of deja vus Beijing outlet.

多抓魚北京店店長黃碧蓮（音譯）對(duì)此表示贊同。

“A large majority of visitors to the store are our online platform users. They are mainly young people who are willing to follow trends and explore new ways of life，” Huang said.

“大部分來店里的客人都是我們的在線平臺(tái)用戶。他們主要是愿意追隨潮流、探索新生活方式的年輕人。”黃碧蓮說。

Early last year， deja vu opened its first recycle store in Shanghai. Located on Anfu road， a locale frequently visited by young people， the store has become a popular photo spot with nearly 10，000 visitors a week.

2021年初，多抓魚在上海開了第一家循環(huán)商店，這家門店位于年輕人經(jīng)常光顧的安福路，已經(jīng)成為熱門的拍照打卡地，每周客流量近1萬人次。

“Through second-hand books trade， you can buy a book that someone else does not need for the time being. Once you finish reading， it can still be resold again. The book is circulated in this way and nothing is wasted during the process，” Huang said.

“通過二手書交易，你可以買到別人暫時(shí)不需要的書。等到你讀完了，這本書還可以再次轉(zhuǎn)售。圖書通過這種方式流通，在這個(gè)過程中沒有任何浪費(fèi)。” 黃碧蓮說。

The trading of second-hand goods can also effectively promote the efficient use of recyclable resources in China.

二手商品交易也能有效促進(jìn)中國可回收資源的高效利用。

The second-hand trade of a mobile phone can reduce at least 25 kilograms of carbon emissions while that of a household refrigerator can reduce it by 130 kilograms， based on calculations in a report jointly released by Frost & Sullivan and the Institute of Energy， Environment and Economy at Tsinghua University.

根據(jù)弗若斯特沙利文公司和清華大學(xué)能源環(huán)境經(jīng)濟(jì)研究所聯(lián)合發(fā)布的一份報(bào)告里的數(shù)字，一部閑置手機(jī)的二手交易至少可以達(dá)到25公斤的碳減排量，一臺(tái)家用冰箱的二手交易可以實(shí)現(xiàn)130公斤的碳減排量。

Hu Xinyue， a 27-year-old advocate of a low-carbon lifestyle， was pleased with her purchase of a small electric fan and a water bottle. Both are second-hand goods.

27歲的胡欣悅（音譯）倡導(dǎo)低碳生活方式，她很滿意自己買的小電風(fēng)扇和水壺，這兩件都是二手商品。

The water bottle， which happens to be in her favorite color， had been put aside by the seller for almost half a year before Hu bought it from the online flea market Idle Fish.

這個(gè)水壺恰好是她最喜歡的顏色，在胡欣悅從網(wǎng)上跳蚤市場(chǎng)“閑魚”買下之前，賣家已經(jīng)把它閑置了近半年的時(shí)間。

Hu shared this experience with more than 7，000 followers on her account at the social media platform Little Red Book.

胡欣悅在社交媒體平臺(tái)小紅書的賬號(hào)上與7000多名粉絲分享了這段經(jīng)歷。

She has been actively giving tips on how to reduce the use of plastic goods in daily life since she opened the account in December last year. Buying second-hand goods， clothes and household appliances is a good option， Hu suggested.

從2021年12月開設(shè)小紅書賬號(hào)以來，她一直積極分享在日常生活中減少使用塑料品的竅門。胡欣悅建議，購買二手商品、衣服和家用電器是不錯(cuò)的選擇。

“After the Singles Day shopping spree in November last year， I was surprised to see that cartons and plastic bags were discarded everywhere in my living compound. Im afraid that we will have to live with trash in the future if we dont take any action now to protect the Earth， so I decided to start with myself，” she said.

“在去年11月的雙十一大采購過后，我驚訝地發(fā)現(xiàn)，我住的小區(qū)里到處都是丟棄的紙箱和塑料袋。如果我們現(xiàn)在不采取任何行動(dòng)來保護(hù)地球，我擔(dān)心將來我們只能與垃圾為伍，所以我決定從自己做起。”她說。

Hu has received positive feedback from both online followers and friends in real life， telling her that they have been encouraged by her to live a more low-carbon lifestyle.

胡欣悅得到了網(wǎng)上粉絲和現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中朋友們的積極反饋，大家表示受她鼓勵(lì)要采取一種更低碳的生活方式。

Niche products

小眾產(chǎn)品

Besides durable consumables， some second-hand niche products are also gaining increasing popularity in China.

除了耐用消費(fèi)品，一些二手小眾產(chǎn)品在中國也越來越受歡迎。

Sun Yaxu， 41， is an organizer of vendors selling handmade decorations， delicate accessories and other gadgets that young people might be interested in at a nighttime open-air fair in Beijings Panjiayuan Antique Market， the largest and most popular such market in Beijing.

41歲的孫亞旭在北京潘家園舊貨市場(chǎng)的夜市上組織小販?zhǔn)圪u手工飾品、精致配飾和年輕人可能感興趣的其他小玩意。潘家園舊貨市場(chǎng)是北京規(guī)模最大、最受歡迎的古玩市場(chǎng)。

“I began to cooperate with Panjiayuan last year because the market hopes to attract more young people. Generally speaking， its consumers are mostly middle-aged and seniors who like antiques，” Sun said.

“我去年開始跟潘家園合作，因?yàn)檫@個(gè)市場(chǎng)希望吸引更多的年輕人。一般來說，潘家園的消費(fèi)者大多是喜歡古董的中老年人。”孫亞旭說。

Sun initiated a two-day second-hand market of hanfu， traditional Chinese attire， in April. Fans of hanfu as well as visitors of Panjiayuan were attracted to sell and buy different styles of clothes， hair decorations and accessories.

2022年4月，孫亞旭發(fā)起了為期兩天的二手漢服（中國傳統(tǒng)服飾）市集活動(dòng)。漢服愛好者和來逛潘家園的人都被吸引過來，買賣不同風(fēng)格的衣服、發(fā)飾和配飾。

Hanfu lover Song Bowen is one of some 20 vendors who participated in it and sold four suits of hanfu in a single day. “We usually exchange second-hand hanfu at online platforms. The market offers an opportunity for buyers to check the quality of the dresses and try them on.”

漢服愛好者宋柏文是參加這次市集活動(dòng)的約20名商販之一，一天內(nèi)賣出了四套漢服。“我們通常在網(wǎng)絡(luò)平臺(tái)上交易二手漢服。這個(gè)市場(chǎng)為買家提供了一個(gè)查驗(yàn)服裝質(zhì)量并試穿的機(jī)會(huì)。”

Guan Tao， 29， is the only vendor selling vintage Chinese accessories at the hanfu market.

Obsessed with a deep interest for ancient Chinese silver jewelry， he had collected a lot of fine items from antique markets across the country in the past few years.

他對(duì)中國古代銀飾有著濃厚的興趣，在過去的幾年里，他從全國各地的古董市場(chǎng)收集了許多精美的銀飾。

“Its a fascinating thing to speculate who used to own a piece of jewelry by studying its design with a combination of historical records，” he said.

“通過結(jié)合歷史資料研究珠寶的設(shè)計(jì)，推測(cè)一件珠寶曾經(jīng)的主人是誰，這是一件很有趣的事情。”他說。

The hobby that was once considered by Guans parents as “incapable of feeding him” has now become a business that earned him about 8，000 yuan during the two-day second-hand hanfu market alone.

管濤的父母曾經(jīng)認(rèn)為這個(gè)愛好“養(yǎng)活不了他”，如今這卻成了一門生意，僅在為期兩天的二手漢服市集上，他就賺了大約8000元。
