(本課選自人教版全日制普通高級(jí)教科書《英語(yǔ)》一年級(jí)上冊(cè)第五單元中的閱讀材料。)
一、教材分析
本文主要內(nèi)容為美國(guó)導(dǎo)演斯皮爾博格的生平故事及他執(zhí)導(dǎo)的幾部著名影片的簡(jiǎn)要介紹。文章條理十分清晰,而且內(nèi)容與學(xué)生喜愛(ài)的電影及明星話題有關(guān),可以激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,十分有利于教師教學(xué)活動(dòng)的開(kāi)展。但另一方面,該文章作為一節(jié)課的全部教學(xué)內(nèi)容相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō)略顯單薄,因此對(duì)本文的泛讀教學(xué)應(yīng)在立足于本文的同時(shí)加以擴(kuò)展和延伸。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.知識(shí)目標(biāo):閱讀文章,了解斯皮爾博格的生平經(jīng)歷及其所執(zhí)導(dǎo)的幾部著名影片的內(nèi)容。
2.能力目標(biāo):培養(yǎng)訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的閱讀能力及技巧;鍛煉學(xué)生的口語(yǔ)表達(dá),培養(yǎng)其開(kāi)放性思維和交際能力。
3.情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀:教育學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)斯皮爾博格熱愛(ài)生活,熱愛(ài)他人,為成功執(zhí)著追求的精神。
三、教學(xué)重、難點(diǎn)
1.教學(xué)重點(diǎn):初步了解有關(guān)斯皮爾博格的各種信息,清楚課文大意;通過(guò)對(duì)文章的閱讀培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀能力和技巧。
2.教學(xué)難點(diǎn):使學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)談?wù)撊宋铮⑼ㄟ^(guò)采訪、對(duì)話等方式介紹所熟悉的名人或偉人。
四、教學(xué)方法
配合課文內(nèi)容,本節(jié)課將運(yùn)用計(jì)算機(jī)課件輔助教學(xué)。同時(shí)將采取互動(dòng)交流,討論合作式的方法增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣和參與意識(shí),以達(dá)到良好的學(xué)習(xí)效果。
五、教學(xué)過(guò)程
Step l Pre-reading
1.Play some wonderful parts of Spielberg’s films onthe screen.
2.Ask some questions according to the films.
(1)Do you know which film it is?
(2)Who is the director?
(3)What do you know about him?
3.Sum up the students’answer and give some back-ground information to Ss.
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:本環(huán)節(jié)重在激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)本課的興趣和參與活動(dòng)的熱情,使閱讀前的活動(dòng)真正發(fā)揮“熱身”的作用。既對(duì)學(xué)生的課前預(yù)習(xí)情況進(jìn)行了檢查,同時(shí)也能自然過(guò)渡到課文教學(xué)。)
Step 2 Reading
1.Scanning
Let the Ss read the passage as quickly as possible and find out answers to the following questions:
(1)Why did Spiel-berg study English in-stead of film?
(Because his grades were not good enough to go to the Film Academy.)
(2)Why were people who saw the film Jaws afraid to swim in the sea?
(Because they remembered the scenes in which swimmers were attacked or eaten by the shark.)
(3)How important is his family to Spielberg’s career?
(He says that he owes much of his career to his family.)
(4)What Was young Spielberg’s dream?
(To go to the Film Academy.)

2.Listening and reading
(1)Listen to the tape of the text,and then finish the following exercise.
(2)Tell the main events of Spielberg according to time order.
1946:He was born.
1958:He made his first film.
1959:He won a prize for a short film.
1982:The film ET was made.
1993:He made the film Jurassic Park.
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:聽(tīng)和讀都是學(xué)生獲取信息的有效途徑。讓學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)邊讀可以培養(yǎng)其快速閱讀的能力。聽(tīng)讀的同時(shí)大屏幕顯示出問(wèn)題,使其聽(tīng)讀目的更為明確。可以把握課文中一些細(xì)節(jié)性的內(nèi)容,加深對(duì)課文的印象。另外該部分問(wèn)題以學(xué)生搶答方式完成,如此可以活躍課堂氣氛,進(jìn)一步調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生參與課堂的積極性。)
3.Skimming
Read the text more carefully and try to get the main idea of each paragraph.(將各段大意加以板書。)
Fill in a form about Spielberg’s personal details.(屏幕顯示表格。略。)
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步細(xì)讀課文,深入了解文章內(nèi)容及結(jié)構(gòu);培養(yǎng)其概括文章主題的閱讀能力和技巧;同時(shí)對(duì)主人公有更深一步的了解,為下一環(huán)節(jié)教學(xué)做好鋪墊。)
Step 3 Post-reading
1.Describe Spielberg in students’own words.
(What kind of person is Spielberg? Why do you say so? What can we learn from Spielberg? etc.)
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:對(duì)當(dāng)堂所學(xué)內(nèi)容的鞏固與延伸。通過(guò)對(duì)主人公的描述回顧課文,同時(shí)領(lǐng)悟其可貴的品質(zhì)和精神,可用以激勵(lì)學(xué)生堅(jiān)持不懈向理想前進(jìn)的恒心和毅力及學(xué)習(xí)他愛(ài)護(hù)家人,對(duì)他人心存感激的友善的品質(zhì)。是本節(jié)課進(jìn)行德育教育的重要環(huán)節(jié)。)
2.Work in groups t0 introduce some other famous people to the class.
(The introductions can be giyen in different way vs,such as an interview between a “star” and a “re-porter”,a dialogue between two“fans”,a speech by a“star”and so on)
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:此練習(xí)是與課文相似,但脫離于課文之外的一個(gè)拔高練習(xí)。分組討論完成的方式可以培養(yǎng)其團(tuán)結(jié)合作的團(tuán)隊(duì)精神;自由選取明星及介紹方式可以充分培養(yǎng)學(xué)生發(fā)散思維和創(chuàng)造性思維:各組成員臺(tái)下的討論及各組代表的登臺(tái)表演可以鍛煉學(xué)生的口語(yǔ)表達(dá)能力和表現(xiàn)能力;學(xué)生靈活多樣,生動(dòng)活潑的表演將把課堂氣氛推向高潮。)
Step 4 Homework
Write a composition,introducing a famous person that you like.
(設(shè)計(jì)說(shuō)明:學(xué)生可以利用本文一些詞匯,模仿本文結(jié)構(gòu)介紹自己所喜愛(ài)的明星或名人,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的寫作能力,也使其對(duì)所輸入的知識(shí)進(jìn)行了實(shí)際應(yīng)用,達(dá)到了語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的最終目的——語(yǔ)言的輸出。)
