Provident Polska:“是的,我可以給予幫助”
2007年3月Provident Polska正式啟動了第三輪的企業志愿項目“是的,我可以給予幫助”,這個項目受到了參與者、媒體和其他外部團體的極大關注。目前為止,已經有200多名志愿者參與了24項活動。2006年Provident Polska推動的“是的,我可以給予幫助”項目和它的其他社會投入被“年度捐助者”獎所提名,這個獎是波蘭一個聲望很高的企業捐贈者的年度評比。
惠普啟動了一個新項目以教會年輕人如何在商業中起步
惠普宣布它將與當地的非營利組織合作,為需要掌握專業IT技能的畢業生和失業的年輕人提供有關IT和商業技能的培訓。
豐田對兒童進行有關交通安全的培訓
通過交通安全教育項目,豐田越南基金會已經對28000多名在校兒童進行了有關交通安全法規的培訓。這個項目是豐田越南基金會、國家交通安全委員會和教育與培訓部在全國范圍內實施的第一個這種類型的項目。這個項目計劃在2005-2008年內提高500萬名一年級小學生的道路安全意識。

清潔汽車尋找綠色(富有)司機

This Summit encompasses the forces of Ethical Corporation’s Europe Conference and Summit Series and Business in the Community’s annual Corporate Responsibility Index Conference. Provident Polska: “Yes! I Can Help”
In March 2007 Provident Polska officially launched the third edition of its corporate volunteering Programme “Yes! I Can Help”. The programme is very well regarded by participants, the media and other external groups, with over 200 volunteers engaged in 24 projects to date. The “Yes! I Can Help” programme, as well as all other community investments undertaken by Provident Polska during 2006, has been nominated for the “Benefactor of the Year” award. This is a very prestigious annual competition for corporate donors supporting foundations and associations in Poland
GET-IT: HP launches new programme to give young people head start in business
HP announced that it will team up with local non-profit organisations to provide IT and business training to graduates and unemployed youth in need of professional IT skills.
Toyota trains children on traffic safety
Through its ongoing Traffic Safety Education Programme (TSEP), Toyota Viet Nam Foundation (TVF) has trained over 28,000 school children about traffic safety rules, reports the Viet Nam News (25 April). TSEP is the first of its kind to be conducted nationwide by the TVF and the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET). TSEP aims to raise road safety awareness for 5 million 1st grade pupils in the school years of 2005-2008.
Over 10,000 Novartis associates worldwide take part in Community Partnership Day
Thousands of Novartis associates worldwide took part in the company's Community Partnership Day by engaging in volunteer activities to benefit people in their local communities. This year marks the 11th Community Partnership Day, established to commemorate the creation of Novartis in 1996.
Coca-Cola plans to green up its headquarters
The Coca-Cola Company will begin implementing measures to reduce energy consumption at its two million square foot world headquarters by 23 percent and reduce its water consumption by nearly 15 percent. These efforts are expected to eliminate more than 10,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, which is the equivalent of removing 2,000 cars from the road.
Intel and USAID--Broadening Technology Access in Emerging Markets
Intel Corporation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) are working together to broaden access and usage of information and communications technology (ICT) in developing communities around the world. The organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), identifying three areas of common focus: increasing the use of ICT in education, enabling and supporting ICT usage by small- and medium-sized businesses to enhance economic development opportunities.

EU states drag feet on environmental-liability law
As the deadline for transposition closed on 30 April 2007, Italy, Lithuania and Latvia were the only member states to have transposed the Environmental Liability Directive into national law. The Commission may consider legal action against the remaining countries.
Clean car seeks green (wealthy) driver
With the European Union determined to take the world lead in the fight against climate change, cars --which alone account for 12% of all Europe's greenhouse-gas emissions --have moved into the Commission's line of fire. The EU executive's recent proposal to introduce binding caps on the amount of carbon dioxide that new cars can emit has created uproar within the automotive industry, which fears that strict new standards will put European manufacturers at a competitive disadvantage with foreign competitors and lead to massive job losses and delocalisations towards low-wage countries.

BP and Rio Tinto Partner in “Clean Coal”Venture
Petroleum company BP plc has entered into a joint venture with the world’s second-largest mining company, Rio Tinto, to develop power generation plants that will pump their carbon dioxide emissions underground to help limit global warming.
Citigroup Allocates US$50 Billion to Tackle Climate Change
U.S. banking and investment giant Citigroup Inc. has pledged US$50 billion over the next 10 years to finance projects that reduce global carbon emissions. According to GreenBiz, Citi’s Markets Banking group sees “extensive opportunities” to support the development of alternative energy sources, such as solar, wind, hydro and geothermal energy, and to invest in aging infrastructure using clean technologies.
General Motors Joins Climate Action Group
General Motors Corp. has joined the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP), a group of companies and non-profit organizations whose goals include reducing greenhouse gas emissions 60 percent by 2050. GM, the first automaker to join the partnership, said in a statement that a key issue is “energy diversity” and that the company aims to become “a global leader in building the most fuel-efficient vehicles.”

Asian and European Firms Lead World in Cutting Carbon Cost
A survey of 634 executives in manufacturing and service industry companies worldwide has found that 7 percent of North American companies monitor their carbon footprints, while 28 percent of European companies and 32 percent of companies globally do so. Nearly one-third of companies have no monitoring system for their carbon emissions or those of their supply chains, and they have no plans for such systems. The European Commission has published a report that asserts environmental technologies are not developing fast enough to achieve 2020 target levels of renewable energies and conservation. Sustainable Bioenergy: A Framework for Decision-Makers
