Compared with other subjects,language has closer relationship with sensibility because one's sensibility will be expressed and passed by using languageThe relationship between teachers and students is very important for the success of whole teaching process,because the students in middle schools are easier to fluctuate on emotionOur purpose is to raise their studying interest and confidence and reduce their weariness and tensionIn English teaching,using affective teaching activity is one important way to cultivate students' active feelings and help them overcome passive feelings,meanwhile it is also one important approach to implement quality education
Emotional education is a teaching activity using affective factors in language teachingThese factors are divided into tow categories:first,individual factors,including motivation,interest,confidence,will,anxiety;second,the affective relationships,including cooperation,empathizing and othersNew Class Standard emphasizes that teaching serves for studentsTeacher should switch his initiative role during the teaching activity and lower down his status to build equal,harmonious and cooperative relationship with studentsDuring the teaching process,we should strengthen the communication with students and build relaxing,democratic,harmonious teaching atmosphere,thus they can think and speak independently,communicate and debate with others freely,which is good for cultivating their initiative learning habitsMoreover,we should lead them to understand the culture and personal feeling in the reading materials to reach the resonance
How to use emotional education in real teaching activity,in my opinion I have some ideas
1Improving teacher's ability and quality
As teachers,we not only should improve our professional knowledge,also our moral culture,which is the precondition to perform affective teachingStudents would like to trust the teacher having profound knowledge and gracious characterTherefore,teachers should improve themselves unceasingly on both knowledge and spirit aspects which will give students good effect,especially on their studying motivation
2Building good relationship with students
It is the first step to communicate between teachers and studentsIf the student can feel teacher' care and love,he will also give his respect and trust to the teacher and would like to communicate with himMoreover,he will bring his positive feeling to class and study hardHowever,if he is reproached and disregarded,he will disatisfy about the teacher,tend to dislike what the teacher teaches and refuse to accept any knowledge subjectivelyWe mustn't lose our temper and rebuke the students random,even if someone makes a very serious mistake,we should look before we leap prudent,because the students have strong pride and are easily hurted by others' wordsThey maybe fall back and never have courage and power to go forwardThat tends to happen to the students with bad representation in daily lifeTeacher should take\"inspiration\"as the first routine of teachingInitiative coming from\"appreciation\"is more resultful than persuading
3Making proper evaluation
Teacher's positive praise is the best inspiration for the student in classSuch as\"good\",\"perfect\",\"fantastic\"etcFor the students with lower grades,we should give more attention because they are more easily to be hurted,especially by teacher's words and deedsWe should give different degrees of questions for different level students and offer specific and pertinent evaluations,which will make student know his advantages and disadvantages and also have the sense of being regardedIt is also useful to improve their self-esteem and confidenceUsing mutual evaluation and self-assessment among students,they become the main parts of the classroom and take participate in all activities of class,so that they have more interest and initiative spirit to study
4Organizing teaching activity
We can develop performing,debating,proseminar and other activities to train students' active emotion and studying desireMultimedia teaching is a good way to attract students' eyes,so teachers can design the vivid courseware to activate students' hearing and vision
Through grouping and role switcing,we can organize the whole class affectivelyIt can stimulate students' studying positivity,exercise their expressing ability and strengthen their thinking abilityThe teaching organizing methods are in favor of building carefree teaching enviroment,inspiring students' studying enthusiasm and innovative consciousness,consequently teachers can achieve the goals that improving studying effects and application abilityAt the same time,teachers can also use expressions to control the whole class in order to create the harmonious classroom atmosphere,accordingly,all the students will go ahead together
All in all,the relationship between teachers and students influences students' studying mood directlyTeacher's moral character or prestige can even determine whether one student would like to study one subject or notThat is a sentiment transfering phenomenonTherefore,communicating between teachers and students is very importantMental obstacles,just like pudency,fearing and diffidence,which mainly come from being afraid of making mistakes,are main problems in studying EnglishMistakes are inevitable during the English studyingAs teachers,we couldn't rebuke students' mistakes overmuch but encourage them to listen,speak,read and write boldly,help them obviate mental obstacles and make progress from mistakesFor those students with lower grades,we should give more care and help and try to give them more practical opportunitiesThe questions given to them shouldn't beyond their ability so that they can deal with these questions and have more confidenceFurthermore,teachers should help students find the appropriate studying methods and active studying factorsWhen they get success,teachers should appraise them in the classroom,which will also give them a sense of achievement and pleasureWhen they make mistakes,teachers should indicate the mistakes politely,affirm their results and reduce their mental burdenWe should often let them retell text,put on performance and participate in activities to practice themselvesEmotional education is very necessary for Enlish learning
