“點擊”高考考點省略句

在英語運用中，為了使說話和行文簡潔，突出新信息并使上下文緊密連接，句中某些成分有時可以省略。在歷年的高考試題中對省略句的考查屢見不鮮。同學們應重點把握：

1. 并列句中的省略

在并列句中，第二分句（或第三、第四分句）往往可以省略與前句相同的成分。如：

Some books are to be tasted，others to be swallowed，and some few to be chewed and digested.

2. 簡單句中的省略

（1）省略主語、主謂語、賓語、表語 。如：

(You walk) This way. please.

—Have you finished your work ?

— ( I have ) Not ( finished my work ) yet.

（2）省略作賓語的不定式短語，只保留不定式符號to，否定形式的省略用not to。如：

I meant to write to you，but I forgot to.

I asked him to see the film，but he didn’t want to.

但是如果不定式中含有be，have，have been，通常保留be， have和 have been。如：

—Are you a sailor?

—No，but I used to be.

—He hasn’t finished the work yet.

—Well，he ought to have.

3. 復合句中的省略

（1）定語從句中作賓語的關系代詞that，which，whom 常可以省略。

定語從句的謂語動詞是進行時態或被動語態時，可以省略關系代詞和be 動詞。如：

Do you know the girl (that / who is) standing at the gate?

（2）在when，while，once，until，as，where，if，unless，as if，even if ，(al)though，whether 等引導的表示時間、地點、方式、讓步狀語從句中，如果含有動詞be，主語又和主句的主語一致，或者主語是it，就可以把從句中的主語和謂語的一部分（特別是動詞be）省略掉。如：

He hurried left the hall as if (he was) angry.

I am not planning to go to her party unless (I am) invited.

Once (he was) a teacher，he now works in a bank.

While driving (a car)，don’t forget the traffic lights.

（3）引導賓語從句的連接詞that 可以省。但如果that 所引導的賓語從句有兩個以上時，則第二個從句以下的that 不可省略。如：

He said (that) there were lots of things to do and that he wouldn’t go with us.

（4）倒裝的條件句可省去if。如：

Had he worked harder，he would have got through the exam.

（5）有些固定用法學習時要多加注意。如：

as usual，than ever /before，hen / if necessary / possible，if any，what if，how come，why not .
