Xiao Ming is a “rich second generation”， who needn’t work， but never gets into debt and he thinks that nothing could be better than this. Because he eats and sleeps day and night， the only thing that he has to do is to lose weight and win his health back. On the contrary， Xiao Qiang is a “poor second generation”， who earns his living by growing rice， and heavily in debt. In order to pay off the debt， he ought to cut down the expenses in every way. From what have been discussed above， we can see that the sharp contrast between the“rich second generation”and“poor second generation”is arousing public concern over the yawning wealth gap.

I read the news by accident that according to statistics， there are nearly 20 million children left behind in the rural areas of our country. That’s to say， their parents have gone to the city to do odd jobs， while the left-behind children arebrought up by their grandparents in their birthplace. What’s worse， the penniless children usually wander in the pavement， and what concerns them most is how to seek for their parents. Fortunately， charity have prepared some envelopes and paper to permit them writing down what they wanted to say to their parents and posted for them， unpaid. It’s unbelievable that some of them even don’t know where their parents areworking.

Yang Liwei was sent into space on October 15， 2003 by China’s Shenzhou V spaceship. It amazed everybody that he circled around the earth 14 times. He landed safely on October 16， making China the third country that succeeded in sending a person into space. Five years later， China became the third country to make a spacewalk after the United states and Russia when Zhai Zhigang appeared outof the spaceship for 20 minutes’spacewalk. It was a joy that astronauts Zhai Zhigang， Liu Boming， and Jing Haipeng came back to the earth successfully with Shenzhou VII on September 28. Unlike Shenzhou V， astronomers paid much attention to studying the spacesuit and the airlock.

Canada， whose official language is English and French， has an area of 9， 976， 00 square kilometers with the population of only slightly over thirty million. Actually， Ottawa， the capital of Canada， is a good place for people to settle down. In addition， it is thought that Vancouver is Canada’s most beautiful city， surrounded by mountains and the Pacific Ocean. For most of the people， they have the idea that you can cross Canada within less than five days， but they forget the fact that Canada is 5，500 kilometers from coast to coast. As for me， I was impressed by the beautiful scenery on the way to Canada， soI prefer to take a train there rather than by plane.
