【摘 要】本文通過對比和分析常用的起連接和邏輯作用的信號詞，并結(jié)合2010年6月大學(xué)英語四級作文范文的解析，得出正確且有效地運用信號詞是獲得大學(xué)英語四級高分作文的關(guān)鍵。

大學(xué)英語四級寫作主要考察考生對語言的運用能力和水平，如果考生恰當(dāng)?shù)剡\用信號詞就能使作文增色不少。如何熟練運用信號詞，下面我們就大學(xué)英語四級寫作中信號詞的作用來具體講解。

大學(xué)英語四級寫作一般采用三段式

大學(xué)英語四級寫作一般采用三段式論證觀點，第一段一般說明背景和某人的觀點，必要時此段提出贊同或者反對此觀點，而第二段主體部分則運用信號詞however或yet闡述觀點的正反兩個方面，第三段運用信號詞personally speaking等提出自己的觀點并討論解決方法，最后作出總結(jié)。

1.第一段開頭點明核心：

講述他人觀點：Some people hold the position that…某些人認(rèn)為……引出自己觀點：

(1)肯定觀點：

I am inclined to support the idea that…我趨向于同意……

(2)否定觀點：

Personally， however， I disagree with this point of view for the following reasons 但是，我不同意是由于以下幾個原因。

(3)中立：

Nowadays， some people hold the point of view that …while others claim …Both sides have their merits現(xiàn)如今，某些人持有……的觀點，而另一些人宣稱……，雙方各有優(yōu)點。

第一段的主要信號詞有：

The main/important point/aspect/reason for… 主要/重要的要點/方面/原因是

B.支持見解：

There are three basic reasons…有以下三個基本的原因

C.表示順序和遞進關(guān)系：

also， apart from， besides， furthermore， moreover， what is more， in addition

2.第二段圍繞主題討論：

first， second， third…列舉事實理由；闡述觀點：on one hand…on the other hand…；因果關(guān)系：as， lead to；闡述結(jié)論：in summary， to sum up， thus；表達相似：similarly， Likewise；表示先后：next， then， later。[2]

3.第三段總結(jié)全文：

(1)Consequently， based on reasons described above， we can get the conclusion that… 因此，基于以上所述的原因，可以得到以下結(jié)論……

(2)To sum up， I hold that... 總之，我認(rèn)為……用于表達個人觀點的句型有……

(3)As far as I am concerned， I am really/completely in favor of …就我來說，我完全贊同……

(4)There is certain merit in both sides， but personally I believe that the disadvantages of… outweigh its advantages 兩方都有某些價值，但我個人認(rèn)為……的弊大于利。

4.最后一點，要在合適的位置運用原因的表達以及for example或for instance來舉例子論證：

英文中用來表達原因的方式有多種，表達方式不同所起到的效果也不同。例如：

(1)The reason for… is quite obvious. 原因很明顯

(2)I haven't finished it because I am sick. 語氣最強烈

(3)As I am sick， I haven't finished it. 語氣比because 弱
