“The Horse and the Dog”教學實錄與評析

閱讀課。
本篇閱讀材料是一則寓言短文,故事圍繞著一只驕傲的狗和一匹聰明的馬展開,旨在讓孩子體驗到贊美和謙遜的魅力。這篇閱讀材料有13個生詞:horse,live,same,proudly,daytime,watch,sheep,grass,evening,guard,plough,turn,true。對于四年級的孩子而言,難度還是比較大。在設計中,我將趣味性和知識性結合,確保孩子既能體驗到閱讀的趣味性又能較好地朗讀和理解課文。
1.通過學習,能正確理解并較為熟練地朗讀故事。
2.學生在情境中理解并掌握詞匯:horse,live,same,proudly,daytime,watch,sheep,grass,evening,guard,plough,turn,true。
3.學生能理解并學會在適當的情況下使用: How great Iam!Yes,it’s true.
4.通過活動鼓勵學生大膽說英語,在語境中培養學生開口說的能力。
5.通過學習,懂得欣賞他人的優點,學會贊美。
1.能理解整篇文章并準確有感情地朗讀每一句。
2.學生能理解并學會在適當的情況下使用: How great Iam!Yes,it’s true.
3.通過學習,懂得欣賞他人的優點,學會贊美。
錄音,視頻,閱讀材料。
Step 1 Warm up
Let’s play a game.It’s called true or false.
If it is right,you say“true,true,true”.
If it is wrong,you say”false,false,false”.
(PPT呈現學生的信息,讓學生判斷)
e.g.
Miss Li is my English teacher.
You can sing English songs.You can make a salad.
T:Great,you can say“How great Iam!”
You can draw pictures.
T:Great,let’s praise ourselves“How great Iam!”
You can read English stories.
T:Good,here’s a story for you.
Let’s read together.
[借班上課可將師生間不熟悉轉換為寶貴的教學資源,通過true or false的游戲拉近師生間的距離,也從聽和說兩方面進行了熱身。同時將How great Iam!作為主線鋪墊。]
Step 2 Presentation
1.通過猜測導入故事主人公。
Look,this story happens in a farm.
What can you see in the farm?
Horse,sheep.
Many animals live in the farm,who are they?
Let’s listen.
e.g.
It is lovely.It can bark.It says woof woof.Whatis it?
A dog.A horse.Sheep.
Look the sheep,the horse and the dog live in the same farm.
One day,the dog and the horse have a talk.
Is it a happy talk?
Let’s listen.
[這一環節的設計是通過猜測農場的動物導入故事的主角,自然流暢,在這一環節中解決3個新詞sheep,horse,plough]
2.觀看故事整體感知。
T:Look at the dog and horse,they’re talking.
What are they talking about?
S:They are talking aboutwhat they can do.
3.分角色梳理信息。
T:What can the horse and dog do?
Please read by yourselves and underline the answers.
Ss:The horse can plough.
T:What can the dog do?Do you get the answer?
S:Watch the sheep.(教讀watch)
Guard the house.(教讀guard)
T:The dog can do somany things.
So he is very proud.(教讀proud)
So he says proudly.What does he say?
Let’s listen and imitate.
I can say proudly.Please follow me.
Can you say proudly?Have a try!
(學生展示)
T:The dog is so proud,so he turns his nose up.
Can you do that?
Great!Let’s do it together and say“You can only plough!”
4.開放性問題,學生思考。
Now I’m the proud dog.You are the horse.
Are you happy?
Ss:No.
If you are the horse,whatwill you say?
Ss:…
T:Whatwill this horse say?
Let’s listen.
Read after the teacher.
But if Idon’t plough,what do you guard?
5.朗讀課文:模仿跟讀,自己朗讀,分角色朗讀。
表演故事,給故事加結局。
[在文本的處理中遵循了整體到細節這樣的原則,先讓學生整體感知故事,再詢問細節,在處理細節中感知理解新詞。在這一環節中,我加入了模仿驕傲的狗和聰明的馬,學生參與性很高,讓簡單的課文朗讀變得興趣盎然。]
Step 3 Production
T:Look at this horse and dog,which one do you like?
Why?
They are both very great,but can we be proud like the dog?
Everyone has his talent,we should praise others.
Praising is themost beautiful voice in the world.
Let’s learn to say how great you are!
[在課堂結束時,我提出了一個開放性的問題——你喜歡哪個小動物,目的是讓孩子運用本節課所學的知識進行回顧,此外對孩子進行情感滲透,人人都有閃光點,贊美是最美的語言,要學會欣賞他人,完成從How great I am!到How great you are!的轉變。]
