Before

reading 1.Play a video and ask a question:“What’s her problem?”.(It’s about a student who likes singing but her parents don’t support her.)

2.teach the usage of two phrases according to the context:get in the way of,worry about.(有關這兩個短語的學習,是教師通過語境引出,并引導學生在語境中思考其含義并學習運用它們。即T:Many teenagers have hobbies,but their parents may think hobbies cost them a lot of time and so they don’t have enough time to do their homework,in that case,they may think hobbies get in the way of their schoolwork,and they worry about their success.) 1.Watch the video and answer the questions.

2.Learn the two phrases:get in the way of,worry about.

reading

1.Show a picture and let students guess Liu Yu’s hobby.

2.Let students read the passage quickly and answer the following questions.What’s his hobby?/ What does he want to be when he grows up?/ Do his parents allow him to do so?
