When filming a documentary to check background information which is best： Internet or Print？

Nowadays，when people check the film background information，maybe most of producer will use the Internet.In order to get the best background information，there are two ways.This essay will argue that when conducting academic research which is best： Internet or Print？

First，about the Internet，the biggest advantage is convenient.There are two forms.One is named a quick search，and “It can be a quick hunt for some information without which you may be held up” .You can find the key information just to open a browser window，then in a second will be offered several entries.Another is named filling web addresses，that means it can collect the website addresses，and it is more easier to re-reading.In this way，readers can save much time that look for one from many sources.Secondly，the information on the Web is advanced，network is the first platform of paper research.That is why there is so much information on the Web，and we can get information anytime and anywhere.In addition，the Internet is much cheaper than print.Most of articles in the Internet are free for readers.But there also are some disadvantages such as if you read so fast，you can not remember all things，and you can not refer to multiple data at the same time.Besides，“most Internet sources do not have editors，fact-checkers，or not given the qualifications” and “authorship is different determine on the Internet” （Baron，2015）.With the internet，there is more useful information available than ever in the history of human inquiry.There is also plenty of material not available on the internet.Some websites may have author and sponsorship listed，but many do not.The research attaches great importance to information sources.If the information from Baidu，Wikipedia these kind of webs，the above information is that everyone can publish and modify.Web information seldom coming from legitimate published sources： magazines，academic journals，books，etc.Many high-quality and guaranteed research papers need to cost money.All in all，the Internet has a low quality in some aspects.

About the print.The most directed advantage is high quality.The publication of a book have a series of procedures.Generally，the authors are expert professors in some fields，famous critics and other people who are authoritative.The contents are confirmed to be correct，not without evidence.Someone summed up“ Traditional print sources go through an extensive publication process that includes editing and article review.The process has fact-checkers，multiple reviewers，and editors to ensure quality of publication” （Baron，2015）.The printed materials certain indicate who the author is and when the work will be published.Not only have high quality，print but aslo has detailed information.We can have more intuitive information experience.We also can leave a permanent profile.The most important is has a stronger professional research than the Internet.Print as a traditional method from ancient，although Internet impacts print，this way has a special feeling which on other way can be replaced.The shortcomings include that is more expensive than the Internet，the publication of books is a waste of human，material and financial resources.They are not updated，after all，the publication is more complex and the corresponding time is a little long.Besides they are not portable，we must have special place and time to read books.

A coin has two sides.When you want to check the information，you should make yourself more selective.Internet is a new trend of prosperity，but most of them have a low quality.Although，the print is not fashion，they have authority and formal system.”Not all books，articles，websites or other pieces of information possess credibility” （Online universities，n.d.）.Everything has his relativity.No matter which way you choose，if it helps you with your academic research，that is best and suitable for you.
