一.學(xué)情分析
本課的授課對象對高一學(xué)生,年齡在16歲左右,學(xué)生從小學(xué)三年級開始學(xué)英語,已經(jīng)具備一定的閱讀全英文章的能力,并且有自己的觀點(diǎn)和想法,學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的教材為人教版高中必修1,一篇文章的字?jǐn)?shù)大概在500字左右,整篇閱讀下來大概需要15分鐘的時(shí)間,學(xué)生有能力去完成文章后面的問答題,能夠在老師的帶領(lǐng)下找出文章的重要信息,比如故事的時(shí)間,地點(diǎn),人物,情節(jié)等。能根據(jù)教師的引導(dǎo)推測出故事的中心思想并能發(fā)表自己的觀點(diǎn)。
二.教材分析
此次閱讀課的教材是由三個(gè)小的部分組成的一篇343字的文章,三個(gè)小的部分的字?jǐn)?shù)分別為63字,155字,125字。敘述了古代三個(gè)著名的哲學(xué)家即孔子,孟子和墨子。他們?nèi)说纳剑饕枷耄瑐ゴ蟪煽儯瑢笕思笆澜绲闹饕绊憽6涛闹谐霈F(xiàn)了有專有名詞即Confucius, Mencius, Mozi,BC,也出現(xiàn)了三個(gè)哲學(xué)家各條的線索,整節(jié)課教學(xué)都是圍繞這些線索讓學(xué)生去探索出具體的哲學(xué)家是誰。充分發(fā)揮出學(xué)生主體的作用,調(diào)動(dòng)他們的智慧,讓每位學(xué)生的參與進(jìn)來。
三.教學(xué)內(nèi)容
閱讀課文章Philosophers of Ancient China
策略:使用古堡探索之旅,小組競答等方式閱讀文本。
四.教學(xué)目標(biāo)
在本課學(xué)習(xí)結(jié)束時(shí),學(xué)生能夠:
1.掌握推理能力,根據(jù)線索推測出結(jié)果。
2.能夠明白線索之間的關(guān)聯(lián)性,學(xué)會(huì)整合零散的知識(shí)點(diǎn),將知識(shí)成體系。
3.學(xué)習(xí)故事主人公的思想,對自己有怎樣的啟發(fā)。
五.教學(xué)過程
(一)閱讀前
將全班學(xué)生分成三組,分別標(biāo)號為group1,group2,group3,第一組的學(xué)生回答的問題用S1表示,同樣的第二組,第三組學(xué)生回答的問題分別用S2,S3表示,學(xué)生一起回答的問題用S表示。這次閱讀課以小組知識(shí)競答的方式開展。學(xué)生需要根據(jù)老師在城堡中提供的線索找出故事的主人公是誰。
(二)閱讀中
1. 教師在屏幕上呈現(xiàn)A;B;C分別代表我們今天的三位故事主人公。
T:OK, Let’s go to the castal to find out some clues.Are you ready?
S: Yes.
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】讓學(xué)生一起去古堡探險(xiǎn),找我們需要的線索,以游戲和競賽的形式來喚起學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。
2. 教師在屏幕上呈現(xiàn)古堡的動(dòng)態(tài)圖。
T:Can you find some clues?
S: Umm.
S1: Oh,I can find a clue hang on the tree, said “thay are all thinkers.”
T: OK, very good. Group1 will win 1 point. Let’s look for the other clues.
屏幕上會(huì)出現(xiàn)其他的信息:
They are from ancient China.
they make a difference in our world.
we all know them.”
S123: Yes, we know who are they.
T: OK, please write down your answers in English on your cards.
S1: Mozi, Zhuangzi,Kongzi
S2: Kongzi, Laozi, Menzi
S3:Xunzi,Laozi,Mozi
我們同學(xué)的答案都不一致,那就讓我們繼續(xù)我們的探索之旅吧。屏幕上會(huì)呈現(xiàn)出三位哲學(xué)家的圖片,第一張是孔子的,第二張是孟子的,第三張是墨子的。圖片旁邊會(huì)附上他們的生辰(551BC—479BC,372BC,476BC—390BC)。
S2:I know the first one is Kongzi, because he is the oldest among them.
T: OK,good job. But Kongzi, do you know how to say in English?
S2: Sorry, I don’t know.
T: Never mind. Please look at the picture, what can you find?
S3:Yes, I see a word on the wall, said“Confucius.”
T: Yes, how about the other philosophers? Can you find them?
S123: Yes, they are “Mencius and Mozi”
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】通過呈現(xiàn)出三個(gè)大的方向提示,讓學(xué)生順著線索把握整體的所學(xué)內(nèi)容的方向,學(xué)生探索完之后存在答案不一致的情況,之后再呈現(xiàn)出三位哲學(xué)家的圖片及生辰,吸引學(xué)生的眼球并且加深他們對所學(xué)內(nèi)容的印象,對于之前不會(huì)的古代哲學(xué)家名字的表達(dá)用自然的方式呈現(xiàn)在圖片的墻上,讓學(xué)生在輕松自由的環(huán)境下學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)。
T:And now we know who are they, let’s look at the picture.
屏幕上會(huì)呈現(xiàn):
He is the philosopher whose influence has been the greatest. Chinese society was influenced by these ideas for more than 2000 years.
He stressed the importance of kindness, duty and order in society.
S2:OK,I know it. He is Confucius, because I know that kindness is Confucius’ thought.
T: Very well.
He is a student of Confucius’s ideas.
His father died when he was young, and he was brought up by his mother.
For many years he travelled from state to state, teaching the principles of Confucius.
④His teachings were similar to those of Confucius.
⑤The book of Mencius
S1: He is Mencius.
T: Yes, Mencius thinks that man is different from animals is that man is good. And he believed that people were more important than rules, and hated the state when it reated people badly.
He is from a family which was very poor.
He became famous for his unusual clothes and behavious.
He founded the philosophy called Mohism.
④His thoughts were similar to those of Confucius.
S3: He is Mozi.
T: Yes, Mozi believed that all men were equal. His ideas of love was different from the Confucian idea of kindness.Mozi taught that we should love all human beings and look after those who are weaker than ourselves.He hated the idea of war.
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】用碎片式的線索將主要信息點(diǎn)呈現(xiàn)給學(xué)生,讓學(xué)生競答他們到底代表的是誰的思想,充分調(diào)動(dòng)他們的思維,探索出真正的主人公。之后教師進(jìn)行哲學(xué)家思想的總結(jié),讓學(xué)生了解更多。
(三)閱讀后
T:After learning this class, what’s your most impression on them? And at the later study, what should we do?
S1: We should be kindness and study hard whether we are poor or rich.
S2: We should treat the other equally.
S3: We should look after those who are weaker than ourselves.
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】通過課上學(xué)習(xí)的知識(shí),能夠?qū)W(xué)生的生活,學(xué)習(xí),做人等方面有一定的指導(dǎo)意義,能夠教會(huì)他們正確的三觀。
(四)作業(yè)布置
1. 學(xué)完古代哲學(xué)家的思想之后,想想在現(xiàn)代有誰是你比較喜歡的偶像或者崇拜的對象,并且說說他(她)對你的生活有怎樣的影響。
