作為南山區第一座科技主題的超高層建筑，騰訊大廈可以說是金融機構主導的超高層模式之外跨出的第一步。在方案初期，騰訊和CCDI 建筑師將目標設定為：一座地標性的建筑，通過高實用率、高靈活性的平面設計提升辦公空間品質——正如騰訊公司的企業使命是通過互聯網服務提升人類生活品質那樣。

這座貼上騰訊標簽的建筑，由地下3 層，地上39 層，另設2層裙房構成，建筑鋼結構屋面總高度192米。5 ～6 層為機房，中部設有2 層餐廳，有兩層避難層，分別在15、30 層，其余均為辦公。通過進一步研究騰訊集團對辦公空間的要求，建筑師認為采用東、西偏核的核心筒布置方式最適應本項目。核心筒移到平面兩側后，標準層中央形成完整的大空間，建筑師進一步通過局部的躍層處理（詳見剖面圖），實現大、小空間的靈活組合，適應IT 企業發展所需要的彈性空間，也利于垂直交通（電梯廳）實現自然采光通風。騰訊大廈的這種平面處理模式，引領了過去近十年的科技建筑辦公設計潮流。

騰訊大廈東西側各有高層建筑相鄰，它是城市干道邊建筑行列的一員。在這種城市關系中，“四面同性”或四面連續變化的造型并不合適，應讓建筑有“主面”、“側面”之分，“側面”彼此對應，“正面”展示特點，形成既有序又有特點的建筑行列。本方案建筑南北立面微微收分呈梭形，一方面這種手法能保證建筑平面方正好用；另一方面，體型水平向平整，利于與東西建筑形成建筑行列秩序；同時，設計團隊將電腦曲面輔助設計運用于形體的推敲，創造出直沖云霄的挺拔感，并利用南北立面微微收分的曲線避免了體量的臃腫，從深南大道上看，1 9 0多米的高度使這種微妙變化韻味悠長。

New Baidu International Building locates in Nanshan High-tech Industrial Park in Shenzhen. Gross floor area is 226,000m2and the Building is constituted of 2 towers—east tower and west tower. The building is with convenient transportation around, as well as advantages for being displayed and of landscape resource.

As the headquarters and R&D center of South China, Baidu International Building is a multipurpose office building integrated with operation and R&D. On the premise of district planning for visual interface, east tower is orientated north and south with being opened towards east and west for maximizing the utilization of landscape resource and form a good image show to the block. On the other hand, west tower matches east tower and green cover in the center enclosed by both towers. Such design enhanced the integration and landmark of the district.

Designing based on the core values of simple and reliable of Baidu and planning from the demand for the differentiation of work by Baidu, traditional office with large depth is divided into standard square office spaces with the depth of 12m each which can meet flexibly the requirement of decorating the office in different ways. The most important thing is that such design created a unique space of lifeful core and realized the demand for connection in the office space of the headquarters of Baidu. Such spaces of lifeful core are linked by staircases spit-levelly. Lifeful core, which includes kinds of meeting room from the one for discussion of a couple to for a round table, makes meeting more funny and relaxed. Informal communication regions are set inside the spaces. Such multi type and situated spaces for meeting and discussion may bring the spark of creativeness of staffs at any time. With the principle of lowcarbon and environment-friendly and giving consideration to ventilation, lighting and landscape effect, Baidu International Building becomes a unique international office space.

時至今日，騰訊大廈依然是深圳西翼“科技CBD”的最高門戶形象。

The inspiration of elevation design of the building is from the name of Baidu. The unique Baidu elevation, which is created with changing Chinese ancient poetries into binary code and then integrating it with classic Chinese pattern of pane, indicates the enterprise image and temperament of Baidu as the world’s largest supplier of Chinese search engine. Aluminum alloy prefabricate components is adopted for the elevation. Punched panel is used in vertical direction for the outside wall and retractable blind inside so that the natural ventilation indoor is ensured as well as the set of opening fan is avoided, and the elevation effect looks more neat and uniform.
