鐵路是國家重大基礎設施,是國民經濟大動脈。70年來,中鐵二院參與建成的國內鐵路通車里程超過36000km,占全國鐵路總里程1/4,其中高速鐵路超過12000km,占全國高鐵總里程1/3。

70載光陰,地處中國西南的“鐵二院”已成長為交通領域的領軍企業。這是三代二院人篤行不怠、踔厲奮發的豐碩成果。

這70年,是步履不停的征程。從勘察設計到工程總承包,從規劃咨詢到產品產業化,涉及領域不斷延伸;鐵路公路、市政城軌、港口碼頭、民航機場……一張以勘察設計為支點的密網正在快速織就。

這70年,是勇攀高峰的拼搏。從成渝到寶成,從成昆到南昆,再到雪域高原上的拉林鐵路……一個個“第一”不負韶華;鄭西、貴廣、西成、鄭渝等多條高速鐵路干線,見證著二院人接續奮斗的歷程。

這70年,是敢于創新的氣魄。復雜艱險山區高原鐵路建設、高地溫深埋特長隧道修建、大斷面黃土隧道修建等,二院人用智慧與汗水攻下了一個個技術高峰,先后榮獲國家科技進步獎30余項,編制了168項國家及行業標準、2項國際標準,獲得國家授權專利近2200項。

從西南到全國,再到海外,征途漫漫。從“走出去”到共建“一帶一路”,以東非高原的坦贊鐵路為起點,中鐵二院的全球坐標已然建立。

在埃塞、老撾、埃及等全球70多個國家和地區,一個個“一帶一路”典范工程接連筑就:亞吉鐵路、中老鐵路、埃及齋月十日城輕軌……作為“走出去”的先行者和引領者,中鐵二院將“中國設計”“中國標準”扎根海外,中國基建“走出去”的步伐愈加穩健。

面向未來,中鐵二院人將始終如一,做新時代的“開路先鋒”,創“交通強國”更大的輝煌。

Railways should serve as the trailblazer to grow China into a country with a strong transportation network.

Railway is a nation’s important infrastructure and also the big artery of national economy. For seven decades, the railways in China open to traffic constructed by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREEC) have been over 36,000 kilometers long, and the length accounts for 1/4 of the total length of railways in the country. Of them, the high-speed railways are over 12,000 kilometers long, and the length takes up 1/3 of the total length of high-speed railways in China.

After seven decades, CREEC, formerly known as Second Survey and Design Institute of China Railway based in Southwest China, has grown into a leading enterprise in the transportation sector, as a result of its three generations of staff’s unremitting efforts.

The past 70 years were a journey with non-stop developments. From survey and design to EPC, from planning and consultation to product industrialization — CREEC has been expanding its business. It rapidly wove a network, which is based on survey and design and covers railways and highways, municipal works and urban rail transit, ports and wharves, and civil aviation airports.

The past 70 years were a journey with striving for greater achievements. From Chengdu-Chongqing Railway to Baoji-Chengdu Railway, from Chengdu-Kunming Railway to Nanning-Kunming Railway and Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway on the snow-covered plateau — CREEC achieved many firsts during this period. Many high-speed railway trunk lines, including Zhengzhou-Xi’an High-speed Railway, Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, Xi’an-Chengdu High-Speed Railway, and Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway, witnessed the continuous struggle of the staff of CREEC.

The past 70 years were a journey with courage for innovation. The staff of CREEC addressed one after another technical challenge with wisdom and sweat: They built railways in mountainous areas and on plateaus with complex and dangerous geological conditions, deep-buried extra-long tunnels with high ground temperature, and large-section loess tunnels. CREEC won 30-plus State Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, compiled 168 national and industrial standards, 2 international standards, and obtained nearly 2,200 national authorized patents.

CREEC trudged over a long journey to develop from Southwest China to the rest of the country and then to other parts of the world. From “going global” to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), CREEC responded to national strategies. Starting with the Tanzania-Zambia Railway in East Africa, CREEC began its development in the global arena.

BRI model projects constructed by CREEC, including the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, the China-Laos Railway, and the 10th of Ramadan Light Rail Transit in Egypt, sprung up in over 70 countries and regions, such as Ethiopia, Laos, and Egypt. As a pioneer and leader of “going global”, CREEC brought “China’s design” and “China’s standards” to foreign countries, allowing China’s infrastructure to have more steady development abroad.

Looking into the future, the staff of CREEC will still be the pioneer in the new era, contributing more to growing China into a country with a strong transportation network.
