英語應用能力考試閱讀匹配題解題技巧與專項訓練

閱讀匹配題是高職高專英語應用能力考試（PRETCO）第三大項閱讀理解中的Task 4部分。該題分值為5分，從整個考試題型來看，該部分閱讀量不大，但分值卻較高，應該是考生認真對待的拿分題。但在實際做題中，有不少學生卻因為對該題出題形式不熟悉或僅僅因為匆匆瀏覽一下題目覺得條目多太繁瑣而產(chǎn)生畏難情緒，進而對該部分題消極應付，以致失分較多，非?？上?。

筆者根據(jù)多年PRETCO輔導經(jīng)驗，總結該題解題技巧，認為考生只要認真抓住該題Directions（解題要求）和Example（舉例）中出現(xiàn)的一些信息提示，再運用逐步縮小選擇范圍的排除法，就可大大提高該題的解題速度和正確率，從而使該題成為自己的快速拿分題。

首先，在Directions（解題要求）中通常會在第一句話中指明列出的專門用語是什么領域的，例如：The following is a list of terms used in the Internet.考生應該看清楚該領域名稱（例如該題是因特網(wǎng)領域），這樣就可以明確自己應該在哪個小范圍內(nèi)對應選擇中文翻譯，避免毫無頭緒地苦思冥想。

其次，題目是以英文字母順序從大寫字母A至R，列出18個英文專門用語，同時還會給出一個Example（舉例）。例如，Example：（A）縮位撥號碼（H）預定信息業(yè)務，其實已有兩個專門用語相對應的中文翻譯出現(xiàn)了，那么在考生需要答題的10個字母選項中，Example（舉例）中出現(xiàn)的兩個字母就已被排除了，考生此時實際上已經(jīng)縮小了選擇范圍，只需在16個英文專門用語中進行選擇。看到Example（舉例），考生應該立刻將該兩個選項字母在題目列表中做上記號，做題時就不用再看該兩個選項了。

最后，該題因為是差額選擇（16選10），所以不能用一一對應的排除選擇法，但考生可以根據(jù)自己對選擇答案的把握程度，按照從最有把握的選項到最沒有把握選項的優(yōu)先順序逐次選擇，并每次選一題答案就在列表中對應項上做一個記號，逐步排除已做記號選項，縮小選擇范圍，如此一來每次選擇只要看沒做記號的用語列表就行，直到把題目中10個選項全部做完，這樣既節(jié)省了做題時間又增加了做題準確率。
