經過基礎年級的知識鋪墊和高三年級系統地針對性訓練,多數學生可以列出寫作的基本要點,并應用簡單的語句連接成分,使全文內容連貫,也就是達到了高考作文評分標準第三檔或第四檔的水平。如何培養學生潤色句子的能力將作文分檔再提一個層次呢?我認為,可從以下幾個方面入手。
一、改變句子的開頭方式
即句子不要一味都用主語開頭,接著是謂語、賓語,最后再加一個狀語??梢砸龑W生把狀語置于句首,或用分詞作狀語等作為句子開頭。試比較:
My brother and I went to the cinema by bicycle the other day.
The other day my brother and I went to the cinema by bicycle.
顯然句子中的第二個句子更加靈活,更加吸引人。
二、在整篇文章中,避免只使用一兩個句式
在一篇文章中,要靈活運用諸如強調句、主從復合句、分詞短語、倒裝句、省略句等。
1. 運用強調句
The dog has saved my Little sister bravely.
It is the dog that has saved my little sister bravely.
2. 運用主從復合句
We had to stand there to catch the offender.
What we had to do was to stand there,trying to catch the offender.
3. 運用分詞短語和 with或without引導的短語
He went out angrily and didn’t say a word.
Without saying a word, he went out angrily.
4. 運用倒裝句
I went to bed at 11:30.
Not until 11:30 did I go to bed.
Her mother learned the news when she came home.
Only when she came home did her mother learn the news.
5. 運用省略句
While you are crossing the street,you should be careful.
While crossing the street, you should be careful.
6. 運用分句和合句
He stop us an hour ago .He made us catch the next offender.
He stopped us an hour ago and made us catch the next offender.
三、有效運用情感色彩強烈的形容詞或副詞等高級詞匯
The nice weather and convenient transportation here can make your trip more enjoyable.
I suddenly realized that I had left my English dictionary behind at your place.
I will work hard and creatively. I will follow the law and discipline.
顯然,通過運用多樣的句式與高級詞匯,增強了文章的感染力。
總之,培養學生潤色句子的能力,是對提高學生作文分檔的一個有益嘗試。經過一段時間的訓練,許多學生在英語寫作中都有所提高,并初步具備了高分作文的素質。只要我們繼續堅持,定能夠突破英語高分作文這一瓶頸。
