一、套用句式

1. From the story， we learn that no matter what we do， we must follow the natural rules. If we are too eager to get something done and ignore the law of nature， we will only make it worse.從這個故事我們知道，我們做任何事都必須遵循自然規律。如果因為太渴望做成一件事而忽視了自然規律，只會使結果變得更加糟糕。

2. After reading the touching story， I can’t calm down for a long time. What a heart full of mercy from parents！ 讀完這個動人的故事，我的心情久久不能平靜，真是可憐天下父母心。

3. Having read the story， I was deeply moved. I am aware that if you want to get something， you must work hard for it. Remember: “No pains， no gains!” 讀完這個故事我深受感動，我意識到如果你想得到什么的話，你必須為它而努力奮斗。記住：沒有付出，就沒有收獲！

4. The story teaches us that we must learn to write our hurts in sand and to carve our benefits in stone! In other words， when someone hurts us we should forgive him. But， when someone does something good for us， we must remember it forever. 這則故事教導我們：必須學會把傷害寫在沙子上，把對我們有幫助的刻在石頭上！換句話說，當有人傷害了我們，我們應該忘卻，但是對于別人給予的幫助則必需永遠記住。

5. After reading this story， I was lost in thought. I came to realize that a suitable situation is necessary for the best show of your advantage. 讀完這個故事我陷入了沉思，我開始意識到自己的優勢要在適合的領域才會得到最好的發展。

二、實例分析

拓展要點：阿諾施瓦辛格的經歷給我們的啟示。（2010韶關一模）

思路分析：從閱讀材料中“阿諾施瓦辛格因為不斷地進行高強度的體能訓練，導致肌肉極度酸痛卻仍然堅持不懈，最后漸漸使身體強壯起來”可知“人不應該害怕痛苦，給人帶來痛苦的事物往往能使人成長起來。” 寫作中可先用 “After reading this story， we learn that…” 引出下文，然后再用兩到三句話具體闡述從此故事中我們得到什么啟示。

參考范文：After reading this story， I was lost in thought. I came to realize that we shouldn’t be afraid of pain and that things which bring us pain make us grow. If Arnold Schwarzenegger hadn’t exercised more than usual and had given up， his muscle would not have grown much stronger. If we can do as what he did and never resign ourselves to pain， we are bound to make a big difference.

An old woman had a cat which was so old that it could not run quickly or bite any more. One day a mouse came. The old cat jumped and caught it but could not bite it， so the mouse got out of its mouth and ran away.

Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said， “Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years， and I will work for you still， but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old， but remember what good work the old did when they were young.”

2. 以下這個故事給你什么啟示？

A boy was playing in the fields when he was stung by a nettle（蕁麻）. He ran home to tell his mother what had happened.

“I only touched it lightly，” he said， “and the nasty thing stung me.”

“It stung you because you only touched it lightly，” his mother told him. “Next time you touch a nettle， grasp it as tightly as you can. Then it won’t sting you at all. You should learn to face danger bravely!”

3.從以下的故事中你學到什么道理？

A wild boar（野豬） was sharpening his tusks（長牙） against a tree one day when a fox came by.

“What are you doing that for?” asked the fox. “There are no hunters around. Everything looks very peaceful to me.”

“Quite true，” said the boar， “but when the hunter does come with his dogs I shall be too busy running away to have time for this. So I sharpen my tusks while I can.”

四、綜合練習

閱讀下面短文，然后按要求寫一篇150詞左右的英語短文。

Once there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He loved the tree and the tree loved him. But when grown up， he no longer played around the tree.

One day， the boy came back.

Tree: “Come and play with me.”

Boy: “I am no longer a kid. I don’t play but need money.”

Tree: “Sorry， I don’t have money…but you can pick all my apples and sell them.”

The boy grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily.

He didn’t come back until one day， he returned and the tree was so excited.

Boy: “I don’t have time to play with you. I have to work for my family. We need a house. Can you help me?”

Tree: “Sorry， I don’t have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build one.”

So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily， but never came back since then.

The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day， the boy returned.

Boy: “I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give a boat?”

Tree: “Use my truck to build one. You can sail faraway and be happy.”

The boy cut the tree truck to make a boat， went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally， the boy returned after he left for so many years.

Tree: “Sorry， my boy. I really can’t give you anything. The only thing left is my dying roots.”

Boy: “I don’t need much now but just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years.”

Tree: “Good! Old tree root is the best place to lean on and rest. Come! Come sit down with me and rest.\"

The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

1. From the story we learn that respecting and taking good care of the old is our duty. We should always bear it in mind that what we have and enjoy now was created by the aged people in the early days. Don’t consider old people useless as they had made great contributions to the society when they were young， so it is supported by sound reason that the old should be honored.

2. The story teaches us that if we are always timid when confronted with something dangerous， we may really put ourselves in great danger. By contrast， if we face danger boldly， we will make things easier and turn a hard situation into a good one. As long as we are determined and brave enough， we can do everything!

3. Having finished reading the story， I am aware that there is no danger when there is preparation. Sometimes it may seem calm and peaceful， but if one always put himself at ease， he may fail. It is known for sure that chances are in favor of those who are always ready. Be prepared， so that you will succeed when an opportunity comes.

綜合練習

When young， a boy loved to accompany a tree. But after he grew up， he left and only came back when he needed help from the tree that devoted itself wholeheartedly to the boy.

Having finished reading the story， I was deeply moved. Actually， this is a story of everyone. The tree is our parents. When we were young， we loved to play with Mom and Dad. When we grow up， we leave them， and only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. Whatever happens， our parents will always be there and give everything they could to make us happy. You may think that the boy is cruel to the tree but that’s how all of us are treating our parents.

Parents are of great importance in my life. First of all， they gave me life， provided me with good environment， and helped me grow up healthily. Besides， most of my personalities and living habits come from parents’ early influence. So it goes without saying that I wouldn’t be who I am without my parents!

As to how to repay my parents， firstly， I think I must work hard and try my best to live up to their expectations. Secondly， it’s necessary for me to learn to be obedient and care about them， such as communicating with them heart to heart， concerning myself about their health and feelings， and sharing household myself chores to show that I have grown up and that I love them.

In a word， it is no use only talking. It is time to practice. So let’s start from now on， from trifles in daily life. Learn to be grateful to our parents， and do everything we can in return for what they have done for us.
