第一步:熱身
播放有關志愿者的視頻。
第二步:導入
問:What’s this video about?出示國際志愿者日的標志,教單詞:sign,并說:International Volunteer Day is coming. It’s on December 5th. Let’s be volunteers today. Don’t put it off till tomorrow.同時,教短語:...put...off...,導入本單元的題目I’ll help clean up the city parks.
第三步:頭腦風暴
問:What kind of people need our help?教師出示圖片,引導學生自由回答:
We need to help...教授新單詞:homeless.
第四步:教學新內容
問:How could we help them?分四部分教學,提出句型:A:How could we help them? B: We could...,并進行pairwork.
1.老人
短語:make them happier, cheer them up, give away
2.病人
短語:visit them in the hospital
3.無家可歸的人
短語:stop hunger, set up/establish a food bank, give out food
4.功課不好的學生
短語:help...with...,volunteer in an after-school study program.
讓學生看1a的圖片,簡單介紹聽力對話的情景,問:How many ways are mentioned? What are they?讓學生回答,然后問: Can you come up with other ways to help people?教短語:think up. 并讓學生完成1a.
第五步:聽力
播放聽力,讓學生做1b.核對答案.
第六步:二人一組對話
對話設計上由易到難A: I’d like to...,but I don’t know what to do? B: Maybe you could...
第七步:教學新內容
T:“One finger can not lift a small stone.” So we need more volunteers.問: How could we make more people join us?
教授短語:call up...,make posters, hand out..., put up...
讓學生讀并記憶上面的短語。
第八步:游戲-Which is missing?
先讓學生迅速記憶所有的短語,再讓學生自由踴躍地說出所缺的短語。
第九步:聽力2a
簡介2a聽力對話的情景,教單詞:Clean-Up Day.聽后讓學生完成2a及2b,核對答案。
第十步:吟唱
讓學生一邊拍手和桌子,一邊吟唱下面的重點短語:
call up,put up,put off doing;
start start,set up,establish;
give away,give out,hand out ads.
think up,think up,come up with;
clean up,clean up,Clean-Up Day;
cheer up,cheer up,make us happier!
第十一步:四人一組討論
讓學生觀看“索馬里饑荒”的圖片,同時播放英語歌曲We Are The World . 問: What do you think of these people? If you have a chance to help them, what will you do?讓學生四人一組討論,完成調查表并寫出小組報告。
第十二步:總結
讓學生總結本課的重點、難點。
T: We Are The World! Being a volunteer is great. Look! The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose.送人玫瑰,手有余香。
第十三步:布置作業
對不同層次的學生分層布置作業。
