江蘇省初中生英語口語電視比賽后的思考

【摘要】正如各類考試一樣，英語口語電視比賽的各個環節雖各有各的特點和規則，但也是可以通過精心準備而獲得理想成績的。準備的內容越多，技巧鍛煉得越純熟，勝算也就越大。

江蘇省中學生英語口語電視比賽2002年由省教育廳立項，旨在為江蘇省各級各類中學生提供基于信息技術支持下的英語學習和交流平臺，為廣大學校英語口語教學改革提供學習資源和引導。比賽通常由四部分組成：自我介紹、命題演講、即問即答和小組合作秀。它既能體現出參賽同學的很多能力。有幸的是我連年帶隊參加此項活動，收益頗豐——正如各類考試一樣，準備的內容越多，技巧鍛煉得越純熟，勝算也就越大。

一、Self Introduction（自我介紹）

自我介紹規定時間90秒，它非常正式，通常不需要表演和歌唱，一律不允許配背景音樂和圖像。且自我介紹要有層次性，切不能弄成一團糟。

自備節目常常先入為主，容易給人留下較深刻的印象，于是要高度重視自備節目。

自備節目一定要富于個性，要能體現自己的個人特色，給人以耳目一新的感覺。比如你喜歡鋼琴，你就可以就這一點展開，寫出與之有關的一系列感觸頗深的事件。自備節目的行文要易讀、押韻、流暢并便于演講。演講時語速要注意輕重緩急、抑揚頓挫。表情要自然、真實、富有感性，眼睛要顧盼神飛，只有這樣你方可抓住評委以及觀眾的心，為整個比賽的成功作好鋪墊。例如：

Ladies and Gentlemen：

Im Wu Tianyi from Rudong Experimental Middle School. If you come to our class， you will be deeply impressed by a boy who is tall and thin. He is energetic and active with a gentle smile on his face most of the time. He can answer the teachers questions most quickly and solve the hardest problems fastest. When he was young， he became interested in listening songs， especially， English songs by Back Street Boys. In order to understand their songs more clearly， he has kept improving his English. And he is excited to see himself making more and more progress day by day. Actually， English has become an important part of his life. Besides that， hes fond of sports， and his favorite sport is playing basketball. He plays basketball quite often after school. He thinks skills and teamwork come first in basketball. He is always ready to help others and everyone in his class wants to make friends with him. Maybe you would like to know who the boy is. Of course， its me， Wu Tianyi， a quick， confident and open minded boy from Rudong Experimental Junior Middle School.

二、Impromptu speech（命題演講）

命題演講相當于口頭作文。臨時給個Topic給你，只有40秒的準備時間，然后限你用100秒時間把整個話題用英語繪聲繪色地演講出來。它不但要求選手有過硬的英語基本功，還要求選手有很強的應變能力和組織能力，所以它是整個英語口語比賽中最難的部分，其實它也最能體現參賽選手的真實水平。我發現，要想在這部分取得好的成績，待拿到Topic后，先要考慮如何布局？如何破題？準備講幾個方面？然后再自由發揮，即就是心中要有個演講提綱，只有這樣才能在有限的時間內把話題闡述清楚。

演講需要激情，但更需要真情實感。要從生活中最貼近的東西入口，要將抽象的問題具體化，并盡可能地游移到自己親生經歷的事情中去。當然，演講稿的語言構成是否出色就得靠演講者的真本領了。我個人覺得可以適當的加入些句式短的排比句，這樣富有氣勢，容易在演講時迸發激情，也可以用些疑問句，以引起聽眾的思索，還可以用一些英語典故或俚語，諺語等，只要用得恰當，就會為你的演講錦上添花。

在演講過程中，萬一大腦出現短暫空白，要巧妙地運用過渡語，如In my opinion. Well. I think.等，給自己大腦一個思考的空間，切不可冷場。且要注意平常的積累，平時要多找話題來進行操練。這樣才能在比賽中快速破題，學會快速布局全文，以便提高自己瞬間語言組織能力。同時拿到命題后要學會將平時訓練積累的東西有效地融合進去。

例：If Im a teacher

Good morning ， dear judges and friends.

Today my topic is ‘If I am a teacher

When Im very young， I already had a dream——I want to be a teacher.

As we all know teacher is a holy job. People say the teachers are the builders of peoples soul. I think so.

If Im a teacher， I will make myself work hardest. Because an able teacher can make the students study easily and well. It can help them save a lot of time. But if I want to be a person like that I must learn more and more and be strict with myself from now on.

If Im a teacher， I will try to be good friends of my students. After class， they can talk to me about their heroes， hobbies， problems， secrets and so on. In class， we can learn from each other. They can also tell me the mistakes I made and I will try to correct them.

All the students will make mistakes， but different teachers have different ways to solve them. If Im a teacher， I will believe in my students and make everything clear first. I will use the correct way instead of criticizing them or calling their parents. I wouldnt also make them unbearable. If it is my students mistake， I will talk to him or her about what is true. I think he or she can understand me.

If Im a teacher， Ill try my best to be a good teacher， because its a holy job and I will love it. And I hope all the teachers love their jobs， all the students love their teachers too.

三、Question and Answer（即問即答）

即問即答是現場看圖回答三至四個問題，時間要求是120秒。通常一、二兩道為客觀性問題，三、四兩道為主觀性問題，務必要掌控好時間，客觀題簡單陳述即可，用時約為30秒。第一個問題一般是叫你Describe a picture what youve seen（有什么）： state the obvious things， usually use ‘I can see…. Dont talk about what you think of… .Dont say Im not sure. You should usually describe the picture from top to bottom， its colors and name.You should describe everything you can see in the picture.第二個問題一般是叫你Describe a person in the picture（干什么）. 第三、四是主觀性問題，不能只回答Yes 或No，必須闡述the reasons to the question.通常是談談你的感想和做法。這就要求我們的識圖能力要強，要領悟其中的寓意，要有創新精神。于是我們平時要關心時事與社會問題。要時常從網上、報刊上選取圖片，有意識地去鍛煉自己，以最短的時間，用最有把握的語言將所給圖片表達出來。

What are the reasons for the government to provide the public bicycles？

What are the advantages for the government to provide the public bicycles？

四、Team co-operation（小組合作秀）

第四環節小組合作秀。每組三至六人，準備時間90秒，合作時間180秒。它是一個集體協作節目，要求組內通力協作，既不可冷場又反對搶話題：即在學會傾聽的同時又要不時用英文闡明自己的觀念，當然還得根據所給話題確定小組合作秀的表現形式，是采取師生對話？記者采訪？還是同學辯論？……就全靠三人的領悟與決斷。訓練題有：①The good and bad effects on TV ②What is the most valuable quality of teenagers in your eyes？ ③Is it important to learn every subject well？④If you are organizing a New Year party for your class. What activities will you include and why？ …

不過，我覺得英語口語電視比賽取得成功的重中之重是要加大閱讀，豐富自己的詞匯量（enlarge your vocabulary），且要接觸一些時政要聞和英美風情介紹的東西，擴充自己的知識面。還可以多讀讀英語的繞口令，讓自己說英語時更加的靈巧。當然最好的就是參加專業的培訓。因為培訓可以模擬正式的比賽，讓你在最真實的環境中不斷進步，這樣你才能做到戰無不勝。
