考研英語大作文模板精析

大作文（即圖畫或圖表作文）是考研英語寫作部分的考查重點，分值為20分，要求考生結合給出的圖畫（或圖表）寫一篇160～200詞的文章。具體寫作要求包括：①簡要描述圖畫（describe the drawing briefly）；②闡釋圖畫含義（interpret its intended meaning）；③給出自己的觀點（give your comments）。根據統計，考生留給大作文的寫作時間一般為40分鐘左右，要想在這么短的時間里審題、謀篇布局并寫出符合題目要求的文章絕非易事。因此，考生若能積累一些經典的模板句型并加以靈活運用，就能省下不少時間去寫需要臨場發揮的內容，這樣更有利于考生把握考試節奏，避免慌亂。在本文中，筆者將按照大作文的“三段式”結構（即首段中間段結尾段），結合2009～2012年考研英語（一）的大作文真題來介紹一些模板句型。

首段模板及調整方案

首段是對圖畫的簡要描述，考生在寫作時既要簡單概括圖畫的大致內容（即總體描述），又要深入描述圖畫細節（即細節描述），最后還要圍繞圖畫下方的小標題闡明主旨。首段的寫作模式比較固定，考生可直接套用下方列出的模板句型。

總體描述模板句型

（1）The drawing presents us with a thought-provokingscene：…

（2）It is obvious that…as is vividly portrayed in thepicture.

③The set of pictures leave us an unforgettableimpression that…

細節描述模板句型

①When taking a closer look，one could see that…

②To put it more precisely，in the first picture，…While in the second picture.…

闡明主旨模板句型

①What the picture attempts to unravel is that…，justas the caption indicates.

②Just asthe captionindicates，…

③Just asthe caption reads：…

分析：考生在進行總體描述時，如果圖畫反映的是某種引人深思的現象或是某些精神品質，考生可以選用總體描述模板句型①。如果圖畫呈現的是一件物品（如2010年真題中的“文化‘火鍋’”），考生就可以選用總體描述模板句型②。如果是左右對照的圖畫或是一組圖畫，考生就可以選用描述多幅圖畫的總體描述模板句型③和細節描述模板句型②。

當然，如果每位考生在寫作時都照搬上述句型，千篇一律，難免會讓閱卷老師覺得乏味，沒有新意。因此，考生可以通過以下三種方案對模板句型進行調整，使其形式更加豐富。

方案一：詞語替換

寫首段時，無論考生采用上述哪種模板句型，通常都會寫這樣一句話：“The picture vividly describesthat…”其實，考生只需對該句中的一些詞進行簡單的同義替換，就能寫出不同的句子。例如，句中的名詞picture可以替換成cartoon、sketch、photo或drawing等；動詞describe可以替換成depict、reveal、illustrate、present或portray等。結合不同圖片的風格，考生還可將句中的副詞vividly替換成humorously、clearly或symbolically等。

方案二：句型轉換

除了詞語替換，考生還可利用簡單的句型轉換來變換句子結構。例如，“The drawing clearly depicts that…”就可以改寫成“As is clearly depicted in the drawing，…”或“It is clearly depicted in the drawing that…”或“…，as isclearly depicted in the drawing.”。

方案三：篇章模仿

這里的“篇章模仿”是指考生如果在平時閱讀中發現了哪些適合改寫成首段模板的段落，可以進行仿寫，以求標新立異，抓人眼球。例如，筆者就曾對2010年考研英語（一）閱讀Text 1的第一段進行改寫，得出了下列模板句型：“Of all the components included in the drawing，themost eye-catching is…Furthermore，what appeals to me isthat…Actually，whatthe picture unravels is presented in thecaption：…”（因篇幅有限，閱讀真題原文不再給出。）當然，這種方法比較適合那些英語水平不錯、學有余力的考生。因為考生如果基礎不夠扎實，就很難改寫得當，往往改寫得牽強附會，反而會拉低分數。

中間段模板

中間段主要是考生的個人闡述和論證，具體內容因人而異，主要靠考生自己發揮。但由于中間段的開頭需要承接首段并點明圖畫主旨，因此考生在寫中間段開頭的承接句時也可以套用一些模板句型。

承接句模板句型

①In fact，this seemingly simple cartoon subtlydiscloses a prevailing phenomenon in society nowadays：…

②By drawing this picture，the painter has successfullydrawn our attention to the importance of…

③This drawing with a dual meaning asks us acontroversial question：…

④Infact，thereismuch controversy overtheissue of…

分析：考生在寫承接句時要點明圖畫反映的主題，然后圍繞主題展開闡述。例如，2011年真題的圖畫“旅途之‘余’”反映的是環境污染問題，考生可以套用承接句模板句型②寫出下列句子：“By drawing this picture，the painter has successfully drawn our attention to theproblem of environmental pollution，”又如，2009年真題的圖畫“網絡的‘近’與‘遠’”反映的是網絡的利與弊，對于這種正反議論型的題目，考生可以套用承接句模板句型③或句型④。

考生寫完承接句后，緊接著就要進行詳細的闡述和論證，筆者將這部分稱為“展開段”。根據不同的主題，考生可以在展開段闡釋、分析造成某種現象的原因，或是對某種觀點進行對比論證，或是為支持自己的觀點提供數據或實例。

原因闡釋模板句型

①There are several factors contributing to this socialphenomenon，The first contributory factor lies in（原因1），As aresult，（原因1造成的結果），Another critical elemem is（原因2），which causes an array of problems，For example，（原因2造成的結果），In addition，I personally believe（原因3）might give rise tothis inclination.

②Why，you may wonder，is the spirit of（某種精神品質）so essential to today’s people？Several fundamentalfactors，in my mind，could account for the necessity of it.For one thing，（原因1），For another，（原因2）.

分析：對于圖畫所反映的某種現象，如經濟增長（economic growth）、人口膨脹（population expansion）等，考生可以在展開段中重點分析造成此種現象的原因（即原因闡釋模板句型①）。對于圖畫所體現的某種精神品質，如誠實（honesty）、獨立（independence）、堅持不懈（persistence）、孝順（filial piety）等，考生可結合文章主題探討其存在的重要意義（即原因闡釋模板句型②）。例如，在2012年的真題中，圖畫所反映的主題是樂觀（optimism），考生就可以在展開段中參照原因闡釋模板句型②寫出如下內容。

示例1：Why， you may wonder， is the spirit of optimismso essential to today's people？ Two fundamental factors， inmy mind， could account for the necessity of it. For one thing，optimistic people always look on the bright side of life. Foranother， optimism plays an indispensable role in success，because in the face of difficulty， optimistic people will neverflinch and will find a way to overcome obstacles. It is one ofthe fundamental attributes of top performers， which separatethe high achievers from the rest of the pack.

對比論證模板句型

1 On the one hand， advocates claim that it could giverise to a number of benefits. For example，…However，those who strongly oppose are not among the minority.They hold that…Although…seems a double-edgedsword， I do believe the advantages still outweigh thedisadvantages…

（2）Some people argue that…However， from myperspective， this assertion tends to be partial…

分析：有些真題要求考生對某一事物或現象的利弊或差異之處進行一番討論，這時考生就可采用對比論證的方式。論證時，考生既可以像對比論證模板句型①那樣分別論述正反方的觀點，然后表明自己傾向于哪一方的觀點，也可以像對比論證模板句型②那樣，先論證正方或反方的觀點，繼而提出反對的理由，最后給出自己的觀點。例如，2009年的“網絡的‘近’與‘遠’”就是一道典型的正反議論型題目，考生可以在展開段說明網絡是把雙刃劍，在拉近人們在虛擬空間距離的同時，卻使人們在現實生活中越來越疏遠，例文如下。

示例2： On the one hand， advocates claim that it couldgive rise to a number of benefits. For example， people withdifferent languages and backgrounds across the globe canconnect through the Internet， which makes the world muchsmaller. This allows us to develop interpersonal skills andimprove our confidence when communicating. However， thosewho strongly oppose are not among the minority. They holdthat the Internet fails to offer us opportunities to communicateface-to-face. Consequently， we spend less and less time withour families and friends. Although the Internet is a double-edged sword， I do believe the advantages still outweigh thedisadvantages. It goes without saying that from the macro levelthe Internet constitutes the very force that has pushed humancivilization forward in the course of our history.

例子、數據模板句型

①Take…for example，…Another case in point is…（用于舉例）

②According to a recent survey conducted by…，approximately…percent of correspondents hold the sameview that…（用于列數據）

分析：考生在論述時，可以舉生活中的實際事例或是提供一些研究數據來論證或強化自己的觀點。由于每個人的知識儲備和興趣愛好不同，考生所舉的例子也都不一樣，但這并不是說考生可以隨便亂舉例子。在平時備考中，考生要有一個規劃，圍繞不同話題去積累素材。例如，已逝的蘋果公司CEO史蒂夫·喬布斯就是一個很好的素材，因為他身上體現出了很多良好品質，如獨立、善于合作等，適合的話題比較多。考生如果需要在文中提供數據，務必要保證數據的準確和客觀，盡量選用報刊或研究報告中的數據。仍以2012年的真題為例，考生在論證樂觀精神的重要性時就可以引用一些數據，例文如下。

示例3：According to a recent survey conducted by the Chinese Academy of Social Science，approximately77.3%of the correspondents hold the same view that optimism，tolerance，and open-mindedness rank the top threequalities that lead to happiness.

結尾段模板

結尾段要求考生給出自己的觀點或評價。除此之外，考生還可以提出一些建議或解決方案。

問題解決模板句型

1 To the best of my knowledge， there are at leasttwo approaches to put an end to this unfavorable socialphenomenon. On the micro level， it is every individual'sduty to do our utmost to…We should raise the awarenessthat…It is equally important that the government…If thesolution is turned into reality， the prospect will become moredesirable.

2 To advocate…it calls for effort from all sides.From where ！ stand…Since my own voice is too weakto be heard， it is imperative for the public to…This hasalready become a trend； this trend， which is still in itsinfancy， will no doubt go further.

分析：考生在提供解決方案時，既可以寫對不良現象的遏制方案，也可以寫對積極做法的倡導；既可以從個人角度來談，也可以從公眾、政府或國家的角度來談。例如，針對2011年真題中的環保問題，考生就可以分別從個人角度和政府角度提供不同的應對方案，例文如下。

示例4：To advocate environmental protection， itcalls for effort from all sides. On the micro level， it isevery individual's duty to do our utmost to protect thenatural environment. We should raise the awareness thata clean environment is closely related to our personallives. It is equally important that the government issuesevere regulations and punish any behavior that damagesthe environment. If the solution is turned into reality， theenvironment will become more desirable.

注意事項

考生在運用模板句型時，還有以下幾點需要注意。

1 雖然筆者提供的模板句型囊括了起始、承接、展開和結尾各部分，但模板終究不是考生最終寫出的作文。因此，考生不能完全依賴模板，而是要先根據題目理清思路，然后靈活運用模板句型，做到以不變應萬變。

2 圖畫描述是每年判卷的重點，需要考生具備扎實的英語寫作基本功，但其內容往往是考生無法預先準備的，因此考生平時一定要針對首段多加練習。

3 考生對圖畫主題的解讀一定要準確，切忌跑題、偏題，平時要多注意積累不同話題的主題詞匯。

4 考生在應考時要注意書寫工整，卷面整潔。
