教學案例:At a party
教學背景介紹:這是區級三校教學研討會上執教的公開課,本次活動探討的主題是“Story time板塊語篇有效教學”。
教材版本:譯林版《牛津小學英語》
教學內容:6B Unit 5 A party(story time)
本單元的話題是兒童節聚會,旨在讓學生了解參加聚會要做的一些準備工作及應注意的社交禮儀。該課時分為兩個板塊,第一板塊是Party前的準備工作,以第三人稱的敘述方式表達,第二板塊是Party當天的情況,以旁白和人物對話的形式展現,這是這一語篇的特點。
課型:語篇教學
教學目標:
1.能聽懂、會說、會讀和會拼寫單詞clown,appear。
2.能聽懂、會說、會讀和會拼寫句型:What are you going to bring to the party?I’m going to bring some toys.Are we going to eat or play with the toys first?
3.通過課文重點語言知識點的學習,能理解課文內容,自然流暢地給課文內容配音,進行表演。
4.了解Party的相關文化,知道Party的基本禮儀。
教學重點、難點:
1.整體感知和理解A板塊課文。
2.將兩個板塊不同形式的語篇進行改編,嘗試復述和表演。
教學過程:
課前播放歌曲“Party time”。
設計意圖:心理學家指出,學生的學習動機和求知欲能否自然而然地涌現,很大程度上取決于教師所創設的教學情境。該英語歌曲的播放,既可以營造寬松的學習氛圍,又可以吸引學生的注意力。
Step 1 Pre-reading
1.Greetings
2.T:Today,I’m going to be your new English teacher.You can call me Miss Shen.I like listening to music.Do you like music?
Ss:Yes,we do.
T:All right,let’s sing a song together.And while you’re enjoy the song,please pay attention to:What are they going to do?Now,let’s start!(PPT播放音樂)
T:Do you like this song?
Ss:Yes,we do.
T:Well,I want to know if you have a good memory.(PPT展示出歌曲中的人物,見圖1)

T:OK,the first one is:What is Jeeby going to do?
Ss:She is going to sing.
T:How about Tappy?Is he going to sing?
Ss:No,he isn’t.He is going to dance.(同問Pod和Gogo)
T:Well done!Boys and girls,you’re so clever!
And you know they are going to do so many things,maybe they are going to have a party.(出示課題,領讀)
T:Do you want to have a party?
Ss:Yes!
設計意圖:通過演唱歌曲,共同進入歡快的童話世界。讓學生帶著疑問,有目的地去聽,可以喚起對舊知“What are you going to do?”的記憶。同時引入話題a party,為下文的閱讀教學做好鋪墊。
Step 2 While-reading
1.Watch and answer
T:Well,we are going to have a party,and some children are going to have a party,too.What do you want to know about their party?(課件出示文本插圖,利用軟件修改,見圖2)

預測文本信息:根據插圖,學生會聯想到Party的時間、地點等相關信息。

T:OK,so you want to know who goes to the party,when is the party and where is the party,right?(點PPT)Now,let’s watch the cartoon and answer these Qs.(播放動畫)
T&Ss:Check the answers and read this paragraph together.(板書完成思維導圖的一級展示)
設計意圖:語篇中色彩豐富的插圖是一種隱性信息,是教學過程中不可忽視的寶貴資源。
六年級學生已經學過三年多的英語,可以通過已有知識對插圖發揮想象,進行猜測。這樣做,還有利于培養學生的求知欲和好奇心。在猜測的基礎上,教師總結四個問題,讓學生觀看動畫,回答其中三個。
2.Read and circle
T:They are going to have a party on Children’s day this Sunday.We know,to have a party,we should prepare a lot of things,right?
Ss:Yes.
T:But,if you are going to join their party,what are you going to bring?
S1:I’m going to bring a cake.
S2:I’m going to bring some chocolate.
Ss:I’m going to bring...(由學生展開思維的想象)
T:Wonderful!There are so many things that we can bring to the party.Let’s find what are the children going to bring?Open your books to read P48.
T:You can tell me your answer with the sentence“XX is going to bring...to the party.”
T:Write down the answers and teach some new words.(根據學生的回答教師板書課文中所提到的禮物,完成思維導圖,并結合板書教學“snacks”。)(見圖3)

3.Look and say
T:It is Sunday morning.The children bring...to... Look at the picture,can you find LT?
Ss:No.
T:Where is LT?
Ss:We don’t know.
T:Just then,a clown appears.(教授clown,ap-pear各種讀法。)(見圖4)
T:Who is the clown?
Ss:He is Liu Tao.
T:Yes or No?Let’s listen!播放課文錄音,I’m Liu Tao.Here are some balloons for you.(教授balloon讀音,并板書)

4.Read and find
T:Well,boys and girls,the children bring their things to the party.Now,the party begins.But,what are they going to do first?Please read P4 to find the answer.(見圖5)

T:Good.Why?
Ss:Have some fun!
T:Yes!It means do something more interesting! So,children,are you going to eat or play?
Ss:Play!
T:OK!Let’s listen again!指導重音和重讀,講解選擇疑問句。
設計意圖:閱讀中的教學活動是閱讀教學的中心環節。該環節教師結合教材內容,根據學生的興趣點、教學內容的重難點及思維的發展點設計了一系列的問題,通過1.Watch and answer;2.Read and circle;3.Look and say;4.Read and find等方式,引導學生有序地猜測、聽說,有助于幫助學生整體感知語篇,培養學生自主學習的能力。
5.Think and say情感教育
T:Are they happy?
Ss:Yes!
T:They get everything prepared.
設計意圖:學生在學習語言知識的同時,還應該了解語言所承載的豐富的文化內涵,文化小貼士(見圖6)讓學生明白,一切活動都必須做好準備。

6.Read after the computer
設計意圖:在具體分析語篇內容后,此時的聽錄音跟讀課文是帶著學生再次整體學習語篇,有利于培養學生的語感,為接下來的復述課文做準備。
7.Try to retell
設計意圖:復述是一種比較具有挑戰性的口語練習活動,這個語篇復述的難點就是對話板塊。思維導圖板書可以使學生有綱可循,有詞可用,培養學生的想象力和語言組織能力。
8.Try to act
設計意圖:此次語篇比較具有挑戰性,要求學生將第一板塊的文本進行人稱的轉換,并且與后面的板塊整合,形成一篇完整的情景對話(見圖7),這是有一定難度的。通過這種訓練,可以培養學生綜合運用語言的能力。

Step 3 Post—reading
Prepare for our party
T:As you know,we are going to leave our primary school,and we are going to have a party.
Let’s prepare for our own party(見圖8),now talk about your party in groups.Please no chatting and don’t speak Chinese,and try to use these sentences to talk about your party.Then make your group’s invitation,got it?

設計意圖:教師鼓勵學生利用即將到來的兒童節這一話題,小組合作討論Party的時間、地點及準備工作等一些基本信息,并匯報展示。這樣的拓展活動把文本活化為生活中的真實語言,將生活融入學習任務中,使學習英語的過程成為體驗生活的過程。
T:Now,which group want to show your invitation?
Ss:Read it.
T:Ask others about their invitations.(老師運用提供的句型再次進行提問,讓所有的學生參與課堂)
Step 4 Homework
1.聽錄音,跟讀課文。
2.填寫完整的party邀請卡,準備開展party。
