On the morning of January 1, 2007, “Smile Wristbands” for Olympic volunteers were released officially. Every set of “Smile Wristbands” has five pieces, with each wristband bearing an Olympic color: red, representing “smile, obligation, and willingness to help others”; yellow, representing “smile, obligation, and the practice of civility and etiquette”; black, representing “smile, obligation, honesty, and credibility”; blue, representing “smile, obligation, and willingness to learn for the sake of progress”; and green, representing “smile, obligation, and participation in environmental protection.” The unveiling of the wristbands led to a new surge in volunteer registration.
By the end of October, the number of applicants for the Olympic and Paralympic volunteer programs had reached 700,000, among them 870 voluntarily served the Good Luck Beijing sport events and were confirmed as the first batch of Games-time volunteers.
2007年元月1日早上,奧運志愿者“微笑圈”正式發(fā)布。每套“微笑圈”均由5條腕帶組成,每條承載一種奧運色彩:紅色,代表“微笑、承諾、樂于助人”;黃色,代表“微笑、承諾、文明禮儀”;黑色,代表“微笑、承諾、誠實守信”;藍色,代表“微笑、承諾、學習進取”;綠色,代表“微笑、承諾、保護環(huán)境”。腕帶的揭曉引發(fā)了志愿者注冊活動的新一輪浪潮。
到10月底,奧運會和殘奧會志愿項目申請人數(shù)已經(jīng)達到了70萬,其中870名志愿者參與了“好運北京”體育賽事的志愿服務(wù)工作,他們被確認為第一批賽事間志愿者。
