定語從句有關疑難淺析

定語從句是中學英語教學中的重要語法項目，也是高考英語中的重點和熱點。為了讓學生加深理解，提高解題能力，避免學生在這一方面的失誤，下面對其常見疑點、難點加以淺析。

一、先行詞的辨認

定語從句中關系詞一般緊隨先行詞之后，但有些情況下兩者之間介入其他結構成分。因此做題時需要看清全句結構，理解整體含義，才可選準答案，避免失誤。例如:

二、關系代詞和關系副詞的選用

當先行詞是表示時間、地點、原因的詞時，需將先行詞置換于從句中，看其在從句中作狀語則用關系副詞when， where或why;若作其他成分常用關系代詞。例如:

2. This is the factory______ we worked 10 years ago.

3. I’ll never forget the day________ we spent in Beijing.

4. I’ll never forget the day ______we stayed in Beijing.

5. Could you tell me the reason_______ you are late for school?

6. Could you tell me the reason _____he gave for his being late?

7. This is the house _______his grandpa lived before.

8. This is the house __________his grandpa built before.

三、假性搭配迷惑，定勢思維干擾

遇到這類題目，一定要仔細觀察，慎重考慮，看清句子結構，排除迷惑干擾。

四、增加其他語法項目

(一)添加插入語

常見的這類插入語有:I think，I believe/I imagine，in my opinion，to tell you the truth等。解題時要判斷它們是否插入成分，若是則將它們舍去再觀察句子結構。理解語句含義，方可選出正確答案。例如:

1.The scientists have made another discovery，______I believe is of great importance.

(二)插入非謂語動詞

遇到這類題目，試將定語從句還原再解。例如第3題的后半段可以分解成兩句:

She had made the beautiful cloth.和The beautiful cloth was covered with a lot of spots.
