一、 教學(xué)背景

《牛津初中英語8B》Unit1"Reading談?wù)摰氖顷柟怄?zhèn)的變化,其中講到過去有一家鞋廠往河里排放污水,污染了河水,植物和魚都被毒死,近幾年由于政府的治理,環(huán)境改善了好多。聯(lián)系到我們周圍及全球環(huán)境的惡化,專門上了一節(jié)活動課,讓學(xué)生意識到環(huán)境污染的嚴(yán)重性和保護(hù)環(huán)境的迫切性,從而從我做起,并呼吁周圍的人一起共同保護(hù)我們的地球!

二、教學(xué)思路與目的

通過列舉污染源,讓學(xué)生更清楚當(dāng)前環(huán)境的不盡如人意,保護(hù)環(huán)境刻不容緩,從而使學(xué)生增強(qiáng)保護(hù)環(huán)境的意識。讓他們動腦筋,想辦法,積極討論保護(hù)環(huán)境的措施,在不知不覺中提高英語語言運(yùn)用能力。

三、課前準(zhǔn)備:給出兩個問題

1.What things can harm the environment?

2.What do you think we should do to improve our environment?

四、 活動過程

T: As we know, there is much pollution in Sunshine Town and there is also much pollution all over the world now. Can you tell me what it is?

( 學(xué)生很快地回答。 )

Ss: Water pollution ; Air pollution; Noise pollution … etc.

T: Do you know what causes water pollution?

Ss: Factories dump waste water into rivers and lakes.

T: All the factories?

Ss: No.

T: What factories?

Ss: Paper factories, shoe factories, clothing factories …etc.

T: What else can cause water pollution, too?

Ss: Some people throw rubbish into rivers and lakes.

T: How can we help to solve this problem?

( 學(xué)生們分組討論解決辦法。 )

Ss: We can advise the directors of these factories to stop dumping waste water into rivers and lakes.

T: If they don ' t accept your advice ,what else can we do?

( 學(xué)生們討論更熱烈了,過了一會兒,他們七嘴八舌地說:)

Ss: 1. We can write a letter to the Green China about it.

2. We can also ask newspaper reporters and TV station reporters to report these factories.

T: There is a paper factory in my hometown .It pours waste water into the river every day. The people in the town drink the water of the river every day. They have advise the leader to stop dumping waste water into the river many times .But he never accepts it. Can you write a letter about it to the Green China?

Ss: Yes .

(給學(xué)生幾分鐘時間分組寫這封信,然后選幾封由小組代表朗讀,學(xué)生很興奮。)

T: You have told me what causes water pollution and how to solve this problem. You ' re very clever. Thank you very much .But can you tell me what causes air pollution?

Ss: The smoke of factories ,the smoke given out by buses ,cars ,trucks ,motorbikes …etc.

T: Can you think out a way to solve this problem?

( 學(xué)生們分組討論解決方案,基礎(chǔ)差的同學(xué)也紛紛參與,只不過在用中文說;基礎(chǔ)好的同學(xué)在幫他們翻譯。 )

Ss: 1.We can plant more trees on roads.

2.We can ask people not to drive their cars to work.

3.We can ask people to ride bikes to work.

4.We can tell people riding bikes is good for their health. …

T: If their homes are far away from their workplaces, can't they ride bikes to work ?

Ss: No.

T: How can we solve it?

( 學(xué)生們興致更高了。你說一句,我說一句。大意是: )

Ss: We can ask the leader of the city to develop the public traffic. Such as adding more buses, building underground. …etc.

T: We have thought out many ways to improve our environment. I will try my best to tell our government that something must be done to make our hometown more beautiful.

(肯定學(xué)生的想法,但是,教師接著話鋒一轉(zhuǎn),問學(xué)生自己有沒有過污染環(huán)境的行為以及以后的做法。)

T:By the way, have you ever made any pollution?

Ss: Yes.

T: Can you tell me something about it?

Ss: Yes.

S1: I sometimes spit in public places.

S2: I sometimes draw on public walls.

S3: I cut down a small tree in my school in Grade One,I feel very sorry now.

S4: We sometimes throw litter on the ground in and out of our classroom.

S5: I often don ' t pick up rubbish in public places.

( 我乘機(jī)問全班同學(xué)下列問題。 )

T: Will you spit in public places from now on?

Ss: No.

T: Will you draw on public walls any more?

Ss: No.

T: Will you cut down trees in the future?

Ss: No.

T: Will you throw rubbish in public places?

Ss: No. …(這時候,同學(xué)們情緒很高漲,他們幾乎是異口同聲地說。)

T: I think we must try our best to make our hometown(our country) the most beautiful one in the world. We should try our best to make the earth greener and more beautiful because there is only one earth! Ok, after class, please have an interview with the other students in Grade 8,ask if they have ever made any pollution, then write a letter to all the students of our school to ask them to protect the environment, the title is Protect the Environment( 課后,請同學(xué)們利用課余時間,用英語采訪同年級的別班同學(xué),讓他們在同齡人面前很自然地回憶自己是否有過/有過哪些不文明行為。然后,以此為依據(jù),用英語向全校同學(xué)發(fā)一份以“保護(hù)環(huán)境”為內(nèi)容的倡議書。)

五、教后反思

1.本節(jié)課本人充分通過各種手段調(diào)動學(xué)生的積極性,學(xué)生參與面廣,生生互動、師生互動強(qiáng)。學(xué)生在合作、討論中,不僅增強(qiáng)小組的榮譽(yù)感,更促進(jìn)了學(xué)生們的友誼,努力滲透德育內(nèi)涵。

2.通過列舉污染源,學(xué)生更清楚當(dāng)前環(huán)境的不盡如人意,保護(hù)環(huán)境刻不容緩,從而使學(xué)生增強(qiáng)保護(hù)環(huán)境的意識。他們動腦筋,想辦法,積極討論保護(hù)環(huán)境的措施,在不知不覺中提高英語言運(yùn)用能力。

3. 同學(xué)們在快樂中獲得知識,并及時活用,體現(xiàn)了學(xué)以致用,體現(xiàn)了“做中學(xué),學(xué)中做”的原則,充分體現(xiàn)了任務(wù)型的教學(xué)原則。

4.充分尊重學(xué)生的個體差異,珍視探究過程中學(xué)生的獨(dú)特感受、體驗(yàn)和理解,適時引導(dǎo)學(xué)生把他們的新想法、新創(chuàng)意引向主動學(xué)習(xí)、主動發(fā)展之中,使學(xué)習(xí)過程成為一個富有個性化的創(chuàng)新過程,這一點(diǎn)與新課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的精神充分吻合。

5.由于本節(jié)課容量大,如果班級基礎(chǔ)不夠好,一節(jié)課時間不夠。

6.小組活動要有序地組織好,否則難達(dá)到最佳效果。
