摘要:《新課標》指出:英語課程的學習,應以人為本,關注學生的終身發展。因此,教師就應該發掘并利用課本資源,拓展知識渠道,幫助學生積淀文化底蘊,提高其綜合人文素養。

一、拓展教材內容,開闊學生視野的必要性
在中學英語教學中,英語教師主要著眼于英語學習的基本功:聽、說、讀、寫,將英語教學看成是單純的語言課程,而忽視了對學生人文素養的培植。《新課標》指出:英語課程的學習,應以人為本,關注學生的終身發展。學生通過英語學習和實踐活動逐步掌握英語知識和技能,提高語言實際運用能力;同時又是他們磨礪意志,陶冶情操,拓展視野,豐富生活經歷,開發思維能力,發展個性和提高人文素養的過程。此處的“人文素養”需要文化知識的積淀,需要在不斷的學習和實踐中得到充實和提高。因此,教師就應該充分發掘并利用課本資源,優化課堂教學結構,營造學習情境,拓展知識渠道,恰當運用各種傳統的、現代化的教育媒體,幫助學生積淀文化底蘊,豐富學生的情感,培養其審美觀,發展其個性特長,完善人格,提高其綜合人文素養,形成健康的人生觀和世界觀,為他們的終身學習和發展打下良好的基礎。
二、拓展教材內容,開闊學生視野的具體操作
案例1.人教版必修一unit2 English around the world, 在讀前部分增加部分信息, 使學生了
解英語是世界性的語言,為后面的閱讀奠定基礎。

學生的信息量,讓學生了解更多的偉人,幫助他們樹立遠大目標,形成健康的人生觀。

感價值目標。
