一、教學內容分析
覆蓋內容:warming up,speaking and writing.
教材分析:本課時教學內容融熱身,說和寫作于一體。熱身(warming up)部分要求學生評論課本列出的六位女性,提出自己的觀點和理由。“說與寫”(speaking and writing)部分要求學生運用介紹人物品質和個性的形容詞口頭描述心中的偉大女性,然后把自己所選人物的故事、品質和個性寫出來。
二、學生情況分析:由于我校是一所發展中的民族學校,學生英語基礎薄弱,能力參差不齊,需要降低設題難度,激發學生的興趣,讓學生在課堂中找到自信和成就感。(這就是本人為什么將課本給出的六位杰出女性的先進事跡調換成五位可能對我校學生來說更為熟悉的偉大女性。在說和寫的環節也提供了一些有準備的句型和范文,幫助學生完成任務。)
三、教學目標
1.Knowledge objectives:⑴ key words: devoted, dedicated, patriotic, determined, unselfish, optimistic, responsible… ⑵ key sentences:
A woman who is admired should be…
2. Ability objectives:⑴ Inspire students to express their thoughts;⑵ Use adjectives to describe a person’s personality and character;⑶ Learn to write a composition about a great woman in their heart.
3. Affective objectives:After learning the passage, the students are expected to know about some great women’s achievements and the great deeds that some ordinary women did in our daily life, hoping that they show their respect to women . I also hope male students will respect women and treat women equally while female students will work hard to be good women who can help more people.
四、教學重點、難點
1. 教學重點:⑴ Help students to know about the great women who made great achievements;⑵ Guide the students to use some adjectives and sentences to describe great women;⑶ Inspire students that there are many great women in our daily life;⑷ Learn to organize and write a composition about great women.
2. 教學難點:⑴ The students use adjectives to describe a person’s personality and character;⑵ The students write a layout of a composition about the great woman.
五、教學過程
Step1.Lead-in and warming up
Task1. Ask students to tell some great and successful women around the world or in the history.
設計意圖:帶動學生盡快進入本節課的學習內容。
Task2. Play a guessing game.
Let the students guess who the great women are according to the teacher’s description.
設計意圖:讓學生了解一些偉大女性所作出的貢獻和取得的成就,從而對偉大女性肅然起敬。
Step2. Brainstorm and speaking
Task1. Let students think over and find out the common good qualities that great women have.
Task2. Let the students use the adjectives to describe great women.
Task3. Let the students to think over the question “Are all of great women famous?”
設計意圖:學生通過小組合作的形式擴大有關形容人物性格方面的詞匯量;幫助學生敢于開口用英語來形容偉大女性的優秀品質;幫助學生開拓思維(是否偉大女性都是舉世聞名、家喻戶曉)讓他們對偉大女性有了重新的認識。(單位:內蒙古包頭市蒙古族中學)
