英語中多種表達“看”法

英語學習中會用到各種各樣表達“看”的詞，下面就表達“看”的詞作一歸納，以幫助大家能更好地理解并正確使用它們：

1.see：vi看，看見，通用詞，強調動作的結果，適用范圍最廣。

We haven，t seen each other for a long time.

我們很常時間沒相見了

I see him cooking when I open the door.

當我打開門的時候看到他正常做飯

2.watch：vi 觀看、觀察、強調看的一個過程、看的時間長、強調連續性。

They watched an exciting football game yesterday.

昨晚他們看了一場令人興奮的足球賽

Watch women doing their jobs.

觀看婦女們做工作

3.Look： vt看、瞧、指注意或有意識地看，強調動作的過程。

Jim looked but saw nothing.

吉姆看了，但什么也沒看見

Look before you leap.

量三思而行。

4.gaze：vi 注視、凝視、指因驚訝、迷戀、羨慕等

She fixed her miserable gaze on her parents.

她可憐地注視著她的父母

The boy just stand gazing through the window.

男孩站在那兒凝視著窗外。

5.glare怒視、強調憤怒看，懷有敵意或恐怖。

He stopped arguing and glared silently at me.

他停止爭論靜靜地怒視著我。

A stropped golf was glaring at the hunter.

一只落入圈套的狼兩眼瞪著獵人。

6.stare ：vi盯著看、瞪眼看、看得比較仔細、因驚訝、好奇、憤怒或害怕等，常和介詞at， into等連用。

She stared Tom into silence.

她靜靜地瞪著湯姆

Donˋt stare at him like that.

不要像那樣盯著他。

7.glance： vt 掃視、匆匆一看、指迅速而粗略地看，時間短暫.

Glance at magazine 瀏覽雜志。

She glanced up to see who had come in.

她抬頭瞥了一眼看是誰進來了。

8.glimpse： vi掃視，匆匆一看，一瞥，幾乎沒有看到目擊物或只看到一部分。

A glimpse at Beijing 北京一瞥

We glimpsed the famous movie star among the crowd.

我們瞥見電影明星在人群當中。

9.peek： vi 偷看；窺視，指從縫隙或隱蔽處看。

A naughty bay is peeking in through a hole.

一個調皮的小孩從小孔里向內偷看。

She peeked into the window when she walked in the street.

當她在街上走的時候往窗子里偷看。

10.peep： vi 偷看、窺視，指匆匆地且詭秘地或小心地看。

The people came to peep at her round the doorway.

人們圍在門口偷看她。

11.peer： vi 凝視、盯著看，常指好奇心或可能是很難看清，因看不清楚而費力伸著脖子向前看。

The poor mother peers through the mist trying to find the lost child.

她透過霧瞇著眼看，想找到丟失的孩子。

She peered at her friend，s face.

她凝視著她朋友的臉。

12.observe： vt 看，觀察，注意到，通常表示一般仔細觀察。

Jenny was observed to follow Mary closely.

有人看到珍妮緊跟著瑪麗。

The police observed the thief entering the house with a gun.

警察看到小偷帶著槍進入房子。

13.notice：vi 注意到，看到，含有偶然看到的意思，其內涵是看到目的物后要做出反應。

Did your sister notice my father leave the office？

你的妹妹看到我的父親離開辦公室了嗎？

We noticed the thief as he left.

當小偷離開的時候我們察覺到了。

14.read 閱讀，讀懂，表示有目的的閱讀書、報等。

I read an interesting story in today，s paper.

我在今天的報紙上讀到一個有趣的故事。

My mother read my thoughts.

媽媽讀懂了我的心思。

15.catch/ have sight of 發現，看出，指被看到的東西進入眼簾，而不是有意識地去看。

After three hours， they finally catch/have in sight of the village.

兩個小時之后，他們終于看到了鄉村。

She catch/ have sight of her old friend when she was shopping.

當她購物的時候發現了她的老朋友。
