Sleep is important!
We need sleep to make us healthy and happy!
Every living thing sleeps, from insects to whales. Some animals sleep 20 hours a day! Most people don’t need to sleep so many hours, but our sleep is also important.

Why We Sleep
Sleep helps our body and brain develop and grow.
How Sleep Works
Your body rests, but is also active during sleep.
In the daytime, you run in the playground, learn at school, eat meals, and at night your body and brain go to rest, right? Wrong! When you are sleeping, your body and brain are very busy getting ready for a new day.
